Arsenal have been urged to take advantage of the financial problems that Barcelona are currently facing and sign some players
It is no secret that Barcelona are one of the greatest teams in world football right now and are only a handful of sides that are able to pay massive wages to superstars like Lionel Messi, Gerard Pique and Antoine Griezmann.
However, Barcelona are racing against time to meet Financial Fair Play demands or risk being fined, and To avoid trouble, they have a few months to cut their costs by £90 million, claims the report on the Daily Express
The reports suggests that they will have their presidential elections later this month and one of the candidates, Victor Font says that they have to make £72m from selling some of their players before July 1
That means that players like Samuel Umtiti, Philippe Coutinho and even Griezmann could be on the market for a bargain price, should the likes of Arsneal decide to swoop in and try to get a transfer deal all wrapped up.
Coutinho and Umtiti have been two players that Arsenal have wanted for a few years now, but the fact that Coutinho would still cost £80 million to acquire, while Umtiti would cost well over £40million, the COVID-19 outbreak has stopped big deals happening.
But now that Barcelona are looking to save some money an raise some funds, that opens the door for a number of moves to be made by Mikel Arteta
Arsenal have been warned they risk losing starlet Emile Smith Rowe in the same way they lost Bayern Munich superstar Serge Gnabry.
The 20-year-old has been excellent in recent weeks for the Arsenal and is now ahead of Willian and Nicolas Pepe in the pecking order at the Emirates as he continues to show his real potential.
He was the star for the club in the latest win over Newcastle United in the FA Cup, but his performances over the past few weeks is also starting to attract all sorts of interest from big clubs around Europe.
Now former striker Ian Wright believes Arsenalfc could lose him if they don’t keep giving him starts, much like the club lost the brilliant Gnabry just a few seasons ago, He told Wrighty’s House Podcast: “It must be brilliant going into training at the moment for someone like Emile Smith Rowe. “He’s somebody who has had his injuries, he’s gone on loan, he’s done his stuff.
“For me, Smith Rowe has paid his dues out there, waiting for his chance.
“I think that what Mikel has done now, the timing with which he’s done it, is absolutely perfect because I think if Smith Rowe doesn’t get into this team, at this stage, and they carry on doing what they’re doing and persisting with people who are not performing at the levels they should – whether it’s Willian or Pepe – I think you lose him.
“Especially with January being here, and then we’ve got a Serge Gnabry on our hands.”
Arsenal are poised to sign Israeli ace Manor Solomon from Shakhtar Donetsk, the latest reports have claimed
The transfer window has been open for a few days now and so far, Arsenal fans have not seen the players arrive that they had hoped, with Omar Rekik the only signing that the club have made so far this month.
But it is no secret that the Arsenal fans are hoping that Mikel Arteta gets the backing from the board to sign the type of players that would make an impact on the first-team now, with some big players linked with the club.
But You’d be forgiven for not knowing much about the 21-year-old Solomon, who is seemingly the next talent that will be making his way to the Gunners over the next few days, according to the latest reports.
Solomon joined Shakhtar in 2019 and has managed 12 goals and seven assists in 62 games for the Ukraine champions. He also has 14 senior caps for Israel, and has five goals and one assist this season, including two goals in the Champions League in home and away victories over Real Madrid.
He has also played against Inter Milan and Borussia Monchengladbach in Europe this season, and it appears his performances have caught the eye of Arsenal scouts, because according to Ukrainian journalist Artem Frankov, Shakhtar are preparing to recall midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk from his loan at Desna, in preparation for Solomon to join the Premier League team.
RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has opened the door to a possible Arsenaltransfer transfer for centre-back Dayot Upamecano
We are firmly in the January transfer window and there was expected to be a bit of business by the Arsenal board to help complete the squad for Mikel Arteta, but the covid outbreak has again stopped transfer deals for taking place.
That means that there many not be many players arriving at the club over the next few weeks, which means that Arsenalfc will be planning for the summer transfer market, when things going on in the world should be a whole load better.
And one player that has caught the attentions of the Arsenalfc board is that of Upamecano, the highly-rated young Frenchman that is fast-becoming one of the most exciting young defenders in the game right now.
The likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and even Arsenalfc have all been keeping a very close eye on the lad over the past few seasons, but have all failed to make any sort of transfer move.
And that has now opened the door for Arsenal to swoop in and try to convince the player that he needs to make a move to the Emirates, and they have been given a massive boost by the German club.
The German club’s CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has told SportBild that they will “sell top performers again if it makes financial sense”, opening the door for some of Europe’s elite clubs to make a bid for the France international.
We are massive fans of Upamecano and firmly believe that he is one player that has the ability to go on, and become one of the very best defenders in world football, especially as he is still so young.
If the Arsenalfc board can afford the lad, then they should make a transfer move
