Emery urged to sign Rabiot as Arsenal look to make ambitous move for Ramsey replacement

Fresh reports from Italy have claimed Arsenal are lining up an ambitious January move for PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
The highly-rated Frenchman looks all set to depart the French giants in the coming transfer windows after reports emerged which claimed he has rejected PSG’S third contract offer, which is reported to be around £9.2 million-a-year, as he wants to make the move to La Liga or the Premier League to really test himself.
That has led to speculation that United, Liverpool and Spurs are just three clubs who are ready to open talks in the January transfer window in hope of convincing Rabiot that there respective club is the best move for his career.
But according to reports on the TMW website, Unai Emery is now ready to swoop in and bring his former player to the Premier League, as a possible replacement for the departing Aaron Ramsey.
It is no secret in the world of football that Ramsey will be leaving the Emirates at the end of the season after 341 appearances for the club and 59-goals, as the Gunners reportedly did not want to pay him the £300,000-a-week wages he was demanding.
However, they will have a fight on their hands as Rabiot is a wanted man, meaning his price tag will go up if he does decide to leave.
ESPN pundit Paul Mariner recently urged Rabiot to make the move to Arsenal, he was quoted on the Daily Express website: “I love this guy, love him.
“I wish that said ‘The Arsenal’ because I think he’d fit in an absolute treat.”
Would Rabiot be a good replacement for Ramsey? here is what we think.
Rabiot has all the potential and ability to become one of the worlds very best players and making the step up to the Premier League with any of the big boys will help with his development.
And the fact he will be leaving PSG for nothing at the end of the season will be a huge bonus, as he would have cost upwards of £60 million to acquire, along with the big wage he will command.
So if Arsenal can beat off their transfer rivals, then yes he would be a great signing for the club and a brilliant replacement for Ramsey, especially since Unai Emery knows how to get the very best out of the Frenchman having worked together for the last couple of seasons.
