New Sheffield United manager Slavisa Jokanovic insists the Championship club have intention of selling Arsenal target Aaron Ramsdale

Ramsdale has emerged as a shock target for Gunners boss Mikel Arteta this transfer window as he looks to challenge number one Bern Leno next season

And There have been suggestions that interest in the big stopper from Emirates Stadium is being stepped up, with an approach made from north London this transfer window, as the club look to beat off a number of top clubs to the signature of the big man.

However, Jokanovic, who has won promotion to the top flight with Watford and Fulham in the past, has opened up and admitted that he does not intend to let his best players leave the club this transfer window

Responding to speculation surrounding the futures of Ramsdale, Jokanovic said: ‘I have one of the best ‘keepers in England. So I want one of the best ones to be here with us. Again, I will have the chance to it down with them and that’s what I will say.

‘They are two of my best players, as I say, and so I always want my best players to be here with me. I haven’t had the chance yet but, when I do, I will sit down with both of them and let them know what my feelings are. I will tell the same as I have just told you.’

Look it is a massive shock to see Ramsdale linked with a move to the Emirates, but it will be even more interesting to see if he can turn down a move to the likes of Arsenal if they actually come calling
