Arsenal ready sign Bundesliga star, Arteta wants to sign winger, £54M star SHOULD be a Gunner
Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today…
Former senior scout Mick Brown has told Football Insider that Mikel Arteta is unsatisfied with the current ARSENAL options in wide areas and is reportedly looking to add to his Arsenal squad when the January transfer window opens up in just a few months time
After missing out on that Premier League title to Manchester City towards the back-end of last season, the feeling was that Arsenal were going to take the crown from the giants this campaign and the season started so good for the Gunners.
However, a number of injuries to key players and some dodgy performances over the past few weeks now means that Arsenal are nine points off leaders Liverpool, who have started the new season in fine fashion, and there has been talk that new players will be signed in the January window.
Now Former senior scout Mick Brown has told Football Insider that Mikel Arteta is unsatisfied with the current options in wide areas and is reportedly looking to add another winger to his squad when the transfer window opens up: “Arteta isn’t happy with the makeup of the team in that position. There have been question marks about Sterling, Martinelli, and Gabriel Jesus.
“Over time, Martinelli has struggled to establish himself consistently, and it’s uncertain if he can meet the demands of a title-challenging team week in, week out.”
“Man City identified players they believed would make a significant impact, and they went and got them. Arsenal need a superstar of that calibre—someone who can drive their attack and truly make a difference.”

Arteta is a man that knows what players he needs to get his ARSENAL side challenging for big titles and knows what players he needs to improve, but another winger is not really needed.
The Gunners have some quality players , but need a striker, somebody that can offer that attack something different. So even though a winger may be wanted, Arsenal needs a new striker
ARSENAL WANTS SANE
ARSENAL are reportedly ready to snap up Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane in the January transfer window, as there has been a snag in the contract talks that the German star has been having with the Bundesliga giants over the past few months.
Sane has developed into one of the best attackers in the Bundesliga over the past few seasons after making the decision to Leave Man City for the Bundesliga, but there has been alot of speculation regarding his immediate future.
The German has been in contract talks with Bayern for quite some time now, but has failed to agree a new deal with the club, meaning that Bayern chiefs are ready to cash in one of their best players.
The likes of Man City, Liverpool and even Newcastle have been linked with a move for Sane over the past transfer window, but According to Sky Germany, United and Arsenal are monitoring the 28-year-old’s situation closely as Bayern want to retain the German international but want him to take a pay cut. The report adds Sane wants to stay put at the Bundesliga side but it remains to be seen if he will accept their offer.
The Germany international is nearing the end of his current deal at the Allianz Arena, meaning he is attracting plenty of interest ahead of potentially becoming a free agent next summer, and it has been claimed that the Gunners are ready to sign him for a bargain in the January window or wait until the end of the season to land the German on a free contract

Mikel Arteta has enough quality wingers to choose from at ARSENAL right now and adding another one may not be the priority for the Gunners boss right now, but Sane is a quality player.
He is proven at the very highest level of the game – is proven in the Premier League – and the kind of money that Arsenal could get him for in the January window means that he could be a real bargain.
But if they get him for a free in the summer, wow, that would be some great business by the Gunners
PEDRO NETO CLAIM MADE
Former Gunners star Theo Walcott believes that Arsenal should have challenged Chelsea for the signing of Pedro Neto this summer after his impressive display at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
After establishing himself as one of the very best players at Wolves, CHELSEA made the very big decision to splash the cash and bring Neto to Stamford Bridge in a deal that cost the Blues £54 million, a move that fully surprised quite a few in the media.
But having signed from Wolves this summer, the 24-year-old now appears to have nailed down a spot in Enzo Maresca’s starting XI with this his third full ninety in as many league matches against the Gunners at the weekend.
But former Arsenal forward Walcott believes Arsenal may come to regret that decision not to make a move for Neto and thinks the winger could have provided some much-needed depth given their recent troubles with injury.
‘When we talk about Neto – he’s the sort of player who Arsenal maybe could have signed to have given that compeition to others players,’ he said on Match of the Day 2.
‘That’s kind of what they need right now, to provide that competition.’
A switch to the right-hand side unlocked Neto in the second half and Troy Deeney believes the Portuguese international should start on that side moving forward: ‘When you put him out on the right-hand side, becaue he has that pace, Timber has to back off because he doesn’t know if he is going to run or cross it,’ he said.
‘If you’re a full-back, you’re thinking “he could kick it and run so I can’t get too close”, but if you get really close to him, he can drop his shoulder and run in behind.
‘With how he is doing, coming in off the right onto that left foot; he can shoot, he can cross but also he has got that raw speed which is going to back defenders off and you can see just what an acquisition he’s been for CHELSEA.’
