With Ozil on way, Emery should complete £91 million deal for perfect replacement
With reports Arsenal are willing to let Mesut Ozil leave the club in January, could they make a move for Kai Havertz?
With constant rumours in the British media all claiming Mesut Ozil is done at the Emirates after falling well down the pecking order under boss Unai Emery, focus for the Spaniard has now switched on to whom he will be signing to replace the German.
Gunners boss Unai Emery knows he needs to find an immediate replacement for Ozil and has his scouts out and about searching for potential targets, and one name that has been mentioned in the media lately is Havertz, who is one of the games brightest talents.
Havertz racked up 17 Bundesliga goals last season, the most ever managed by a teenager, and reports claim Arsenal were ready to splash the cash and pay around £40 million to try and secure a deal during the next couple of windows, according to reports.
And with the SUN claiming that Arsenal have put Ozil on the transfer market for the upcoming transfer window to try and get him off the wage bill top free up some much needed space in the side, Arsenal could actually make a move for Havertz.
The youngster has been very impressive over in the Bundesliga and has attracted some serious interest from some of the games biggest clubs with his performances.
The midfielder, who is now worth around £91 million, has put a number of clubs on high alert after admitting that a move next summer could happen, he told Sky Germany: ‘They haven’t scared me off,

‘I don’t know exactly what it was like with Timo [Werner], but it just didn’t happen for me this year. I think there were a number of reasons why.
‘But I’m happy to be here and stay in Leverkusen for another year. We’ll see what will happens next summer.’
Ozil is seemingly done at the Emirates and getting him off the wage bill will make room for the club to make some big money signings, so if the German is on his way out, there will be many Arsenal fans that will be glad to see the back of him.
And if the Gunners are planning for the future, then a move for Havertz would be a great move as the young lad is already showing the kind of ability that could make a real impact on Emery’s side if the Gunners make a move.
He is very much worth the £90 million he is currently valued at, and it will be a massive shame to see him not make that big money move to the Premier League, as it would have taken his game to the next level.
