Is Rice leaving Hammers?

Pundit Pail Robinson has claimed that Man City will not make a move for West Ham star and Arsenal target Declan Rice as Pep Guardiola is too loyal to midfielder Rodri.

Easily one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League right now – Rice is heavily tipped to leave West Ham at the end of the season and make the step up in the game.

That has led to all sorts of speculation that Man City will be the latest team to show an interest in trying to sign the player – as Guardiola needs to revamp certain areas of his squad.

But it seems that Arsenal have been handed a transfer boost for the man – after Robinson claimed that Man City will not be going after Declan Rice because they are loyal to Rodri

When asked by Football Insider if a swap deal would make sense for both clubs, Robinson said: “I do not see the need to from City’s perspective.

“I can tell you, Rodri is not going anywhere. It is difficult for anybody to get game time at City with him there.

“Phillips is clearly number two. He has been brought in to be that cover. Why would they pay more money to get better cover? I think they would use their money elsewhere.

“Pep very rarely changes that system. He normally only plays with one holding midfield player. I do not think Declan Rice would fit in.

“Rice would be sitting on the bench, waiting for an opportunity. I don’t think Declan Rice would want to go there and sit on the bench. For me, it is a non-starter.”

We can see Declan Rice leaving at the end of the season – but we are certain it will be for Chelsea or Liverpool – those are the two clubs most interested and most in need of his ability

However – how good would he be at Arsenal?
