Here is a roundup of the Top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you may have missed today –

Ex-ARSENAL. ace Johan Djourou believes the club need to sign a striker with a different profile to their current attackers.

The Gunners almost beat Manchester City to that Premier League title after stunning everyone with their performances on a weekly basis – but in the end – the Manchester giants claimed another title.

There has been alot of transfer speculation since the season ended and it has been claimed that a new striker is on the agenda of Mikel Arteta, as Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah will not be enough.

Now – amid that speculation – Djourou has encouraged the club to sign a forward this summer – He told MyBettingSites.co.uk: “Arsenal need another striker with more power like an Erling Haaand or an Aleksandar Mitrovic.

“So a player who is strong in the air and can hold the ball well, as well as being important as a striker with his back to the opponent’s goal.

“When a game gets tight and the opposing block controls all of Arsenal’s attacking attempts, they often can’t find a solution.

“Accordingly, such a physically strong player would be important to become a bit more unpredictable.”

That Arsenal attack is dangerous – it is exciting and is definitely one of the best in the League – but the Gunners dont have a 25-goal a season forward.

This summer will be massive for ARSENAL. and they will need to make some statement signings – there are some big names linked – but adding a man that can score on a weekly basis will be massive.

If they do make a move for a forward – it will be very interesting to see who they try and bring in a new forward

Arsenal free to sign Abraham?

Roma are reportedly ready to sell long-term ARSENAL target Tammy Abraham to avoid Financial Fair Play sanctions.

Since making the move to Italian football in the summer of 2021 – Abraham has gone on to develop himself as the number one striker at Roma and a man that Jose Mourinho can really rely on.

He has banged in close to 40 goals in just over 100 apearances and his performances has led to alot of speculation in the media that a move back to the Premier League could be on the cards – with a number of clubs interested.

Now – it seems that the likes of Arsenal have been handed a boost after it has been claimed that Roma may be forced into selling the striker.

The Serie A side had hoped to win the Europa League and qualify for the Champions League and claim the riches that would have followed, but that never and instead they must now meet the financial fair play regulations.

And if Abraham is available for a reasonable fee for Premier League sides, it would seem an attractive option.

Abraham has previously admitted that he is happy in Italy, as he said on Uefa.com: “I’ve become more confident and have learnt a lot about myself.

“At Chelsea, I was known as ‘the academy player’, and I think coming here I’ve realised it’s time to bring out my personality and show the world what I can do.

“It’s been an amazing experience learning about a different culture and seeing a different area of life.

“It’s something I’ll treasure even more looking back when my career has finished.”

ARSENAL do not need to sign a striker to be the regular starter – they just need to sign a forward that will add some depth to the squad and that is why Abraham could be a very good option for the Gunners.

Caicedo wants Arsenal move –

ARSENAL have an agreement over personal terms in place with Brighton’s Moises Caicedo,

The Ecuador international has enjoyed an impressive season on the south coast and has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs in the process.

Arsenal were strongly linked with a £70 million deal to sign the 21-year-old in January; however, a move never materialised and Caicedo proceeded to sign a new contract with Brighton that runs until 2027.

Despite the new deal, the report reveals that Brighton are resigned to losing their star midfielder this summer and Arsenal have been heavily tipped to secure a move for the powerhouse.

Now – according to Football Transfers, Caicedo has agreed personal terms over a switch to the Emirates.

Indeed, the outlet note the agreement on personal terms Arsenal struck with the Ecuador international in January remains in tact.

Gunners chiefs have held multiple conversations with Caicedo’s camp since the winter window and the pre-agreed terms are still acceptable to the player.

There has been alot said about the future of Caicedo – but one thing is for certain – he is ready for that next step in his career.

He does not need to leave Brighton just yet – he will be playing European football next season – but the desire to be better is there and that is why he will be a great signing for the Gunners.

And with Xhaka leaving the club – he could be the ideal man to come in and help fill the void of the Swiss star.

£75 million is alot of money for the player and we are sure that ARSENAL will try to get that down – fans just be hoping that this does not drag on for the whole summer.
