Arsenal have been told they can sign Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic on loan in the January transfer window

Mikel Arteta is in the middle of building a side that he believes will go on to challenge for more than a top four spot this coming season – and has dome some very good business so far

The likes of Matt Turner – Marquinhos – Fabio Vieira – Oleksander Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus were all signed by the Spanish boss last summer – and it is believed that the Gunners are now very interested in trying to sign Milinkovic-Savic

Savic has been linked with a move to the Premier League for a few years now – but no club have been able to negotiate a fee with Lazio – and he has spent a large chunk of his career in Italian Football

Now TuttoJuve claim Milinkovic-Savic could be the next one through the door at the Emirates.

The Serbia international’s contract expires in the summer of 2024, but he could be allowed to leave this month.

The same report claims the Roman outfit is losing patience over the 27-year-old’s contract situation, which means they might be forced to cash in.

As a result, the Serie A giants would now be prepared to accept a six-month loan deal with an obligation to buy for £44m in the summer transfer window.

Milinkovic-Savic is a top player and they come with big asking prices – but one thing we have learned last summer is that Arsenal are prepared to spend.

He would be a fantastic signing – as he is a player that has played at the very top of the game for quite a few seasons.

So, if the reports are true – the Gunners would be mad to not try and get a deal done right?
