Arsenal sent exciting message about summer signing, Gunners swap deal with Madrid ‘a genuine prospect’, and Arsenal told to sell £200,000-a-week star

Arsenal told to sell Lacazette, Arsenal swap deal for Trippier on the cards and Arsenal told Ben White will come good in top Arsenal news…

£50m summer signing Ben White will come good and ‘bring quality’ to this Arsenal squad, the fans have been told

After the news broke in the media that David Luiz would not be signing a new deal to stay at the club this summer, Mikel Arteta knew that he needed to add a quality centre-back to that defence.

Some big names were linked, and so were some talents, but in the end the Gunners board gave Arteta £50 million to wrap up a transfer deal for the very impressive Ben White, who is rated very highly in the Premier League

White endured a difficult Premier League debut for Arsenal in last week’s 2-0 defeat to Brentford, with the likes of Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher highlighting his weakness in the air after the opening-day loss.

But Silvestre believes the 23-year-old – who was part of England’s Euro 2020 squad – will prove his class at Arsenal: ‘When a team like Arsenal see the top teams spending a lot of money and bringing in quality players, it will worry them quite a bit,’ former Gunners defender Silvestre told MyBettingSites.

‘They already had a tough task with having to improve from last season and closing the gap, but this has made it extremely hard for Mikel Arteta and his team to break into the top six this season.

‘That must be their main aim this season – to break back into the top six.’

He added: ‘There is a lot of pressure in England for teams to sign English players and as Arsenal already have quite a few foreign players, they leaned towards signing an English defender in Ben White.

‘Ben struggled on Friday against Brentford but he’s well-equipped, intelligent and is clever so I’m sure he’ll learn from his mistakes from the opening game.

‘It is a big step for him coming from a team like Brighton to Arsenal, but I believe that he’ll bring quality to the team at the back.

‘The defenders need to become more of a unit and must make sure they’re concentrating for the full game, and that hasn’t been this case at Arsenal in recent years, which is causing them to concede goals.’

A potential swap deal involving Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin and Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier is reportedly ‘a genuine prospect’ this summer window.

Bellerin has been that has been at Arsenal for many seasons now and is one player that fans have both become frustrated with and happy to see back in the squad on a weekly basis playing the game he loves.

But the 26-year-old Gunners ace is growing increasingly frustrated with life under Mikel Arteta and has been linked with a move away for several months, with the likes of Atletico Madrid and Barcelona just two clubs that are interested in the player

He was an unused substitute for the club’s defeat at newly-promoted Brentford on Friday, and recent reports have claimed that Bellerin now wants to return to Spain and both Atletico and Barcelona are keen.

Arteta is believed to be keen on getting a player in exchange for the full-back, with both Trippier and Barca’s Emerson mentioned as potential options, and Now Football London claims the Bellerin and Trippier swap is ‘a genuine prospect’.

Madrid do not have alot of money to spend on Bellerin and the Gunners will not meet that £35 million asking price for Trippier, meaning that both clubs could agree to that summer swap deal.

Roundup..

Look, if Bellerin wants to depart the club this transfer window, then the Gunners should let him leave. There are many options out there that could do a better job, sop even though Trippier is not as effective in attack as the Spaniard, he is a solid defender

He would add a bit of experience and quality to that back-line, which has been missing over the last few seasons

Danny Murphy believes Arsenal should look to sell striker Alexandre Lacazette this summer if they need money to sign more players.

The French forward, who missed Arsenal’s 2-0 opening day defeat against Brentford on Friday due to illness along with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has been linked with a move away from the club during this window.

The Frenchman has not been the goal-scoring hitman that the Gunners had hoped for and Mikel Arteta knows that he needs to delve into that transfer kitty once more this transfer window and add a new striker to the squad.

But despite all the rumours that Auba could be the man that departs the Emirates this transfer window, Murphy has opened up and suggested that Lacazette should be the man that Arsenal sell by the end of the transfer window

Murphy told talkSPORT: “If I was Arteta I’d make some definitive decisions and stick to a team that’s capable and some tactics that you can actually see.

“We were quite enthused [with Arteta] at the beginning, there was some positivity there. Then some negativity came and he became proactive not reactive. It’s like they’ve lost their way a bit.

“But when I say definitive I’d be telling Aubameyang that he’d play week in, week out up front. Whatever it, needs you play him, week in, week out and he’ll score you goals. And if you need funds then let Lacazette go.”

Roundup…

Auba and Lacazette are two players that should be replaced at the Emirates as they are not good enough to score the goals anymore, but if wee had to choose, then yes, we would let the Frenchman leave

But Arsenal are loyal to their players and will probably not well, which will mean that they will probably again have trouble finding the back of the net
