Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today –
Arsenal is exploring the option to sign Joao Felix on loan during the January window – according to the latest reports in the media
With the many reports in the media suggesting that Graham Potter is desperate to improve his squad in the January window – there has been alot of speculation about Joao Felix.
The young Portuguese star is regarded very highly in the game but has been unable to hit the heights that many had hoped for during his time at Madrid – which has led to rumours he could leave.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are exploring the idea of signing Felix on loan until the end of the season After the injury to Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus, and Mikel Arteta has been hunting for possible replacements with Felix’s name popping up on his list.
The club is prepared to spend £8m for Joao Felix’s 6-month loan spell along with incurring his wages worth £250k-a-week.
However – it seems that Simeone would not like to see the lad leave and has told Felix that he can still be a big part of the Madrid side: “What matters to me is the team and he is important to the team. If he shows us what we saw in the World Cup, he will be very important. He has the conditions and talent and the team needs his qualities,” he told reporters.
“It’s a good, working relationship. Since I’ve been at the club I’ve never stopped, beyond some differences that exist between people, and we can’t agree on everything.
“I’ve looked for the best for the club until the last day whether it’s me or the footballers. Everyone’s giving the maximum.”

We are not sure that Felix leaving Madrid would be a good idea – the Spanish League is perfect for him. The physicality and pace of the Premier League may be a struggle that the lad fails to adapt too and could look worse than he has been in La Liga.
Would he really be a good signing for Arsenal?
Arteta told to sign Mac Allister –
The likes of Arsenal have been encouraged to sign risk-free signing Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton.
Mac Allister, who joined Brighton in 2019, was one of the stars of Argentina’s World Cup squad in Qatar, playing in six consecutive games after being left out of their opening defeat to Saudi Arabia.
His performances for his country has led to alot of speculation about his future and where he will end up – with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all reportedly interested in a possible deal for the player.
And amid all the speculation – those clubs have all been encouraged to make a move to sign the Brighton star – Pundit Graeme Souness told the Daily Mail. ‘I bet there will be no player feeling more confident than Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister. It is very easy to focus on how fabulous Messi was for Argentina, but in the games I covered, Mac Allister was their best player.
‘The ball he played for their second goal in the final, for Angel Di Maria, was sublime. Messi put him away around the corner.
“He took one look, had a couple more touches and never looked again before squaring the most perfect pass for Di Maria to put it past Hugo Lloris. Wonderful.
‘He’s a top-four player and the big guys will be looking at him now and thinking, “We’ll have some of that”. He has proven he can play at the highest level and has already done it in the Premier League.
‘There is very little risk attached to this boy. He can create, score and works his socks off – that type of player, they are hard to find.
‘At 23, Brighton won’t be able to keep him for long and good luck trying to negotiate a new contract.
“I’m just disappointed he’s not playing for Scotland with a name like that!’
Arsenal to sign D’Angelo –
Arsenal are close to finalising the signing of Canadian ‘keeper Sabrina D’Angelo on a free transfer.
The January transfer window is just a few days away from officially opening – meaning that the Arsenal ladies can get spending and adding to the squad.
Jonas Eidevall may have one of the very best squads in the WSL – but he knows that he needs to continue adding some depth to the squad if they are to wrangle that title off Chelsea.
It’s understood Arsenal have forwards on their Wishlist in January following injuries to Vivianne Miedema and Beth Mead. – but it seems that a new stopper will be the first addition to the squad.
Reports on the Daily Mail website have claimed that Arsenal are closing in on the free signing of D’Angelo
The 29-year old will leave Swedish club Vittsjö at the end of the month after four years at the club. D’Angelo has 12 caps for Canada and was part of the 2016 Olympic squad that won gold in Rio.

It may not be the biggest signing that Eidevall will make over the course of the January window – but D’Angelo will add some depth and experience to the Arsenal squad.
She is coming on a free so it is not a massive risk to take – and quite honestly – the Gunners scouts would not have made a move for the goalkeeper if they believed that she was not good enough to play for one of the biggest women’s teams in the game
