Arsenal should sign one of the best – Gunners closing in on first signing – £100m target sends transfer message

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –

Lautaro Martinez has recently claimed he is one of the best in the world – and Arsenal should make a move for the striker.

Right now man Arsenal fans are buzzing after the club had an amazing season and almost brought back that Premier League title – with many believing that a few summer signings will end the drought next campaign

Lautaro Martinez is a player that ARSENAL have been linked with for many transfer windows and it is widely expected that the Gunners will go back in to try and sign the world cup winner at some point.

Martinez believes he’s one of the best strikers in the world alongside Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Robert Lewandowski.

In an interview with Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport, Martinez said: “I have nothing to be jealous of them, the numbers and the trophies say so.

‘Some of them have won less than me. I have to keep working responsibly as my father taught me, but I can be at the same level as all these great players.”

And if you believe the words of reporter Iomie Stanley – he could be a great signing for the Gunners – he said: ‘Martinez is one of the best strikers in the game – and the confidence that he shows would be a great asset to that ARSENAL side as they are lacking a quality striker like the Argentine star.

‘We do not know if Arsenal will make a move for the striker this summer – but he is certainly someone that could make a massive impact at the Emirates if he does get signed.

‘Mikel Arteta knows what he needs to improve the side enough to finally end the reign of Man City – but Martinez would be a very good option for the club as he ha sthe confidence and goal-scoring ability to have a huge impact on the squad.’

‘And to be the best – sometimes you have the buy the best right?’

ARSENAL CLOSING IN ON SIGNING –

Arsenal closing in on the signing of Fenerbahce left-back Ferdi Kadioglu, as an agreement has reportedly been reached.

Kadıoğlu has played 51 official matches for Fenerbahçe this season, had 3 goals and 5 assists. The 24-year-old has a contract with Fenerbahce until June 2026, but is attracting all sorts of interest.

It has been claimed in recent weeks that both Napoli and ARSENAL are very much interested in adding the player to their respective squads at the end of the season, as his £25 million valuation is not alot of money.

Turkish outlets Millyet are reporting that Arteta’s side are “at the negotiating table” and “pushing to finalise” a deal for the 24-year-old defender after an agreement had been reached.

There will be many ARSENAL fans out there that have never heard of Kadıoğlu, have never seen him play and would never have imagined that a move to the Emirates could be on at the end of the season.

to be fair it is only a rumour – clubs have agreements with many players that do not end up going through – so that may be the case here.

Kadıoğlu may be impressing a few sides and having a great season in the Turkish League, but he is not good enough for this current Arsenal side, he is not good enough for the Premier League and would most likely keep the bench warm at the Emirates.

As we said it is a massive claim to make and only time will tell if he does make the move, but we are sure that he will not be signing with Arsenal in the next couple of months.

The Gunners boss will be backed in the transfer window – the club have big plans – it will be very interesting to see just who arrives at the club.

RODRYGO SENDS TRANSFER MESSAGE –

Arsenal target Rodrygo has quickly addressed the rumours that he could leave Real Madrid this summer.

there is still alot of transfer speculation in the media about whom Mikel Arteta could bring to the Emirates in the summer – and add some more quality to the side.

It is no secret that an attacker is on the agenda for the Spanish boss and there has been so many names linked with a move to the club already – but it seems that Rodrygo is now on the list

Recent reports have claimed that ARSENAL have made some sort of contact with Madrid over a possible deal for Rodrygo after the Spaniards rejected the advances of Liverpool.

It had been claimed in recent weeks that Rodrygo would be leaving Madrid this summer after an interview that he had given suggested as such – In an interview with Placar TV – which was recorded a few weeks back, the winger had said, “It also depends. Of course, I want to stay here for many years. I want to be here as long as I feel that I help and I’m important to the team. And from the moment when I see that I’m no longer important, maybe it’s time to look for another place.

“I don’t think that’s what’s happening at the moment and I’m not thinking about it. I always dreamed of playing here, it was always my favourite club. I have everything here, I am making a dream come true, I am already a champion of everything and as long as I am important I want to continue here.”

When asked if he would consider playing in any other league, the player added, “The Premier League is a league that everybody likes, I am not going to close doors to any other league. Everyone knows that my dream is always to play for Real Madrid — I want to be here, but everything can be discussed. But my objective is to continue here.”

However – Taking to X, the 23-year-old has clarified his words: “A very annoying situation occurred today, where one of my interviews was completely taken out of context. To be very direct, I am VERY happy at Real Madrid, I live a dream every day and it does NOT cross my mind to leave the club of my life! Now we continue with history to make. By 15. HALA MADRID AND NOTHING MORE!”
