‘He brings something special.’ – Mikel Arteta told to bring Frenchman to Arsenal in shock move
ARSENAL have been encouraged to make a move and bring Ngolo Kante back to the Premier League, as he could be a good option to have in the side to keep on rotation.
CHELSEA offloaded the Frenchman last summer as he joined the Saudi Pro League influx, signing for Al-Ittihad, as his time at Stamford Bridge was over because of the players age and performances.
However, despite turning 34 in March, he was a standout player for France during this summer’s European Championships and has looked every inch the player that helped the Blues win so many titles over the years.
That has led to some stunning reports in the media which have claimed that he could be heading back to the Premier League and now Emmanuel Petit has urged ARSENAL to make a move for the Frenchman and pull out of a chase for Mikel Merino.
‘N’Golo Kante still has what it takes to play at the highest level, I have a huge respect for him as a player, he just might not be able to play as often as he did,’ Emmanuel Petit told Casino Hawks.
‘He isn’t exactly the same player as he was but he is 33 and still has real quality, his personality and his character and commitment can be so valuable to a club.
‘He is in Saudi but could still be a real asset for a team like Arsenal and Mikel Arteta, he would be top class in a rotation for Arsenal and it would be a good move for him too.
‘In terms of mentality, he would give 100 per cent for his team-mates, he brings something special.’

Look, Kante was brilliant for France in the European Championships – but we cant even see him coming back to the Premier League – he is getting far too much money in Saudi Arabia and he will not be happy sitting on the bench every week at ARSENAL
