Arsenal should make move and wrap up world class deal for perfect signing like Italian great
Arsenal should sign a player like Giorgio Chiellini.
Arsenal may once again need to improve their defence during the summer window, and one player they should go for should be Juventus star Like Giorgio Chiellini.
Gunners boss Unai Emery exceeded all expectations during the summer transfer window and landed some wonderful players, that will help improve the side enough to finish back inside the top four spots, but fans have been excited by the news that there will be some more spending during the January transfer window.
And they should make a move for Chiellini, to replace David Luiz.
Luiz may have only been signed during the summer transfer window, but he has already shown the Gunners fans just why he is not good enough to slot into that Arsenal back-line any longer, and he will need to be replaced as he will cost the club too many points over the course of the season.
The Brazilians arrival has only made the Gunners back-line worse and he has already cost the Gunners points against Liverpool and Watford, with his other performances looking nothing more than a player that is not capable of playing at the top level any longer.
Chiellini may have turned 35 in August, but he remains one of the standout players in his position. Strong in the tackle and commanding aerially, Chiellini is a wonderful reader of the game and an underrated passer from deep.
We are not saying that Arsenal need to try and prise Chiellini away from Juventus in the coming windows, especially as he has no desire to swap the Italian Leagues for the premier League at this stage of his career, but they need to try and sign a player like him in the coming windows.
He is a leader, a winner and a player that is not afraid to kick it with the big boys, which some of the current Gunners players are unable to do at vital moments in the season.
The Gunners have a habit of trying to buy young, develop that player, and hope that they can become a top-class defender, and that has not been the case over the past few seasons. So rather than invest, why not sign a player that is already established in the game, that is around the 27,28 mark that has the experience to cope with the Premier League?
A player signed by Arsenal like Chiellini would be a very good move from the Arsenal.
