Arsenal signing ‘cant wait’ get started, Gunners welcome Jamaican International, winger can join Arsenal £50M

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer speculation from icfootballnews featuring the likes of Martin Zubimendi, Noni Maduake and Taylor Hinds that we think you may have missed today…

Brand new Arsenal signing Martin Zubimendi has opened up and revealed he cannot wait to get down to business in our red and white after completing his move from La Liga this week.

The Euro 2024 winner joins ARSENAL from Real Sociedad where he spent 15 years, coming through their famed academy to become a leading light in the middle of the park.

Zubimendi is expected to be thrown straight into the heart of Arsenal’s midfield, especially following the departures of Thomas Partey and Jorginho at the end of last month after the pair failed to agree a new contract with the Gunners.

While leaving his hometown of San Sebastian wasn’t an easy decision, Martin was left in no doubt that his future was set for north London and he has now revealed that he cannot wait to get started playing for the Gunners.

“Once I made the decision to leave, I set my sights on Arsenal because I think their style of play is a good fit for me,” our new midfielder said in his first interview.

“It’s a young, highly motivated and ambitious team. They have shown their potential recently, and I believe the best is yet to come. As soon as you set foot here, you realise how big this club and this team are. Andrea [Berta] and Mikel [Arteta] took excellent care of me, leaving me with no doubts whatsoever.

“This is a huge moment in my career. It’s the move I was looking for; one I wanted to make. Of course, it’s a big change, but I’m ready to get started.”

IcFootballnews Says….

Zubimendi is ready for this move, he is ready to test himself at one of the biggest clubs in world football and a side that will be competing for all the big titles next season, it is a great move from ARSENAL to make.

He suits the style of Mikel Arteta, he is already proven at the top level, he should have no problem adapting to the Premier League.

TAYLOR HINDS SIGNS

ARSENAL are delighted to announce the signing of Jamaica international Taylor Hinds on a permanent deal after the defender left Liverpool

The gunners posted on the club website: ‘Taylor’s Arsenal journey began with our academy at the age of 11 in 2010. Over the following seven years, Taylor showed strong progression through our youth ranks, developing into a versatile player capable of playing at both full-back and in midfield.

‘Now a Jamaica international, Taylor represented England at youth level and represented England at both the U17 and U20 FIFA World Cups in 2016 and 2018 respectively. She received her first call-up to the Jamaica squad in October 2024, making her debut in a friendly against France that month.

“I’m so proud to have signed for Arsenal,” said Taylor. “I want to push, compete and be winning trophies – and this club encompasses all of that both on and off the pitch. You can see what direction Arsenal is going in and everyone at the club wants to win.

“This is a full-circle moment for me and I’m grateful to come back to a place I called home when I was younger. I can’t wait to get started and to step out on the pitch at Emirates Stadium in front of all our incredible supporters.”

Director of Women’s Football Clare Wheatley said: “Everybody at Arsenal is thrilled to welcome Taylor back to the club where she spent several years at the start of her career.

‘She is a player with great quality and vast experience of top-level football, and will be an excellent addition to our group as we aim to compete on multiple fronts next season.”

Head Coach Renée Slegers said: “We’re delighted to welcome Taylor back to ARSENAL. She’s a versatile player who has great experience from multiple seasons in the WSL with Liverpool, where she took on a leadership role.

‘I’m excited to get started with Taylor on the training pitch and I’m sure our supporters will join me in welcoming Taylor back to the club.”

MADUAKE FEE SET

Chelsea have revealed their financial demands to let Noni Madueke go this summer window amid speculation that the winger could be making the move across London to join ARSENAL in a shock transfer move.

The 23-year-old recorded 16 goal contributions in 41 games in all competitions last season, but has been linked with a surprise £50million move to Arsenal.

Chelsea have been doing alot of transfer business over the past few weeks and after bringing in Joao Pedro from Brighton and Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund, the Blues are looking to free up some space in that attack, if you believe all the reports in the media.

But despite the reports, the Gunners haven’t spoken with the Blues and haven’t offered a contract to Madueke, and the reality is that Arsenal have not sent any proposal to Chelsea for Madueke as of this week.

But according to The Telegraph, the Blues are expecting offers of more than £50million for Madueke and they will not be letting the attacker go for anything less than that valuation after the season he has just had.

There are also reports suggesting the West Londoners are keeping tabs on the Gunners’ wonderkid Ethan Nwaneri.

But amid all the speculation and rumours, former Chelsea star Frank Sinclair believes his former club would be foolish to part ways with Madueke at this point in his career: ‘I think that would be going against the grain of what Chelsea are trying to achieve,’ Sinclair told Metro via Kasinoseta.com.

‘They have been recruiting a young squad and letting them develop for four or five years and Madueke should be a big part of those plans, given how he has grown.

‘He’s got that recognition from England now as well, and that’s brought his confidence on even more.

‘Pedro Neto is obviously also on that right side, but given the competitions Chelsea are in next season, you need all these players if you are going to compete and bridge that gap at the top of the table.

‘I would be surprised if they let him go. I know ARSENAL like to come in for the odd Chelsea player every now and again, but for me, that would just be crazy to let Madueke go, especially to a rival.’
