Chelsea statement made confirming £50M transfer deal is done

Noni Madueke has left CHELSEA and completed a permanent transfer to Premier League side Arsenal, the Blues have officially announced on the club website as they wished the winger all the best.

Noni Maduake was a big part of the side last season and had his breakthrough season as a Blue, but rumours emerged a few weeks ago that he is one player Chelsea were open to letting the winger go, and Arsenal made their moves.

And after a few weeks of rumours, speculation and gossip, Maduake has now made the move across London on a five-year deal, with reports suggesting that the Gunners paid over £50 million to secure Maduake.

The Blues posted: ‘Signed in January 2023 from PSV Eindhoven, Madueke arrived at Stamford Bridge as an exciting young talent and made 12 appearances over the remainder of that campaign.

‘In his first full season at Stamford Bridge, the winger developed into a first-team regular and made 34 appearances across all competitions, finishing the campaign with eight goals.

‘He progressed further in 2024/25, adding eleven goals as the Blues secured a return to the Champions League and lifted the UEFA Europa Conference League.

‘Madueke’s growth was reflected at international level too, earning his first senior England cap last September and going on to represent his country six times.

‘We would like to thank Noni for his efforts throughout his time at Chelsea and wish him well as he begins a new chapter in his career.’
