Mikel Arteta speaks of pure delight after Arsenal make another signing!

Mikel Arteta has opened up and revealed that he is delighted that Arsenal have managed to secure a deal for midfielder Christian Norgaard, who joins from Brentford in a deal that will cost the Gunners £10 million

The Denmark international had been with Brentford since signing from Fiorentina in 2019, with spells earlier in his career with Hamburg and Brondby, but he has really impressed over the past 12 months.

The 31-year-old has completed his move from Brentford to the Emirates, unveiled as a new Arsenal player on Thursday in a deal worth an initial £10m and will help fill the void that has been left by the departed Jorginho and Thomas Partey.

And after seeing the move happen, Sporting Director, Andrea Berta and boss Mikel Arteta have revealed their delight at the club latest signing – Andrea Berta, said: “We’re very pleased to welcome Christian Norgaard to the club. He has been a consistent high performer in the Premier League and brings many qualities to our club.

“He is a leader, and a player with high tactical intelligence and versatility who will have a very positive impact to the squad. We welcome Christian to Arsenal.”
