£35 million star Soyuncu announces “After the national team camp we’ll have talks” after confirming Arsenal are interested!
Freiburg defender has announced his agent will open talks with Arsenal after the World Cup after confirming the Gunners want to sign him this summer.
The Turkish defender has caught the eye of Arsenal’s head of recruitment Sven Mislintat since his arrival in the Bundesliga two years ago, and the Gunners are reportedly ready to meet the Germans valuation to help sort out the back-line at the Emirates.
Freiburg rate their young centre-back at around £35m, and will not budge from their valuation as they seek to earn a nice little profit on the £2.4m they bought him from second-tier Turkish side Altinordu.
And after admitting that he is interested in a potential move to Atletico Madrid, he has now admitted that Arsenal are interested in signing him and plans to have talks after the world Cup in Russia.
He was quoted on the Daily Express website:“I know they’re interested in me, but there’s nothing finalised yet about my transfer.
“After the national team camp we’ll have talks.”
The young defender has had a brilliant season at the German side and would become one of the first signings under new boss Unai Emery, who has reportedly closed in on deals for Stephen Lichsteiner and Borussia Dortmund star Sokratis in the last few days.
