Gunners fans told Arsenal ‘still interested’ in bringing £70M star to Emirates

It has been claimed that Arsenal are still interested in trying to sign Brighton star Moises Caicedo in the summer window.

Arsenal were very much interested in a deal for the impressive Caicedo – as they felt that they need to add another box-to-box midfielder to the squad to help ease the pressure on Thomas Partey.

Partey has been brilliant this season for the club, but he is now out for a while after picking up an injury, but the Gunners failed to get a deal done for Caicedo and ultimately decided to make a move for Jorginho.

However – reports on the Sky Sports website have claimed that Arsenal are still interested in signing Caicedo in the summer window, and may be ready to pay that £80 million asking price.

After seeing Arsenal miss out on Caicedo in the January window – Former Premier League star Danny Murphy has revealed he would “have driven” Moises Caicedo to Arsenal.

Murphy claimed for that price the Seagulls should have sold the Ecuador international – He said on talkSPORT, Murphy said: “£70million for Caicedo? I’d have driven him there.

“I mean, he could do a cruciate next month.”

Murphy added: “I’m sure he is [a good professional], i’m just saying there’s a possibility it will weigh on him.

“And the fact is £70m – he’s good, but that is more than a fair price.”

Caicedo is a brilliantly gifted midfielder that has been impressive for Brighton this season – and it is very easy to see just why the club were so interested in him over the January window.

If Arsenal manage to get the powerhouse for the right amount of money – he will be a great buy – but if they pay too much money – it could be a very costly risk to take
