Arsenal target eyes big move – Gunners fans convinced Prem star joining – £55M star makes transfer claim

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed from icfootballnews today…

The uncle of Aston Villa star and shock ARSENAL target Jhon Duran has opened up and claimed that he is hoping that the striker could earn himself a big time move in the future if he continues to score the goals he has been this season.

Duran, who was linked with Chelsea and West Ham over the summer, has scored five goals in eight games so far this season, helping Villa continue their impressive form after they finished fourth last term.

Dwight Yorke has recently claimed ARSENAL are still lacking an ‘outstanding number nine’ and believes Duran would be an ideal addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad, with the former Villa star telling the Spanish boss to take a chance on Duran.

But Oswaldo Duran, has made a bold claim regarding his nephew’s future.  Speaking to Gol Caracol, he claimed that if Duran continues to develop and improve his game, he could soon be playing for Real Madrid.

He said: “We are talking about a player who, if he has his feet on the ground, if he lets himself be guided by his advisors, will be very great because he is very young and is not yet mature as an athlete.”

“If his behaviour was not the best, it is normal; you have to let him see it and he will correct it. Having character is different from seeing or believing that others are less than me.”

“Not speaking to people is not character for me, but because I am related to him and have known him since I was a child we believe that we have already achieved everything and since he is young, he may suddenly think that, but I have enormous faith that he is going to correct his behaviour.”

“Jhon Jader is still a 20-year-old boy and there is a lot of room for improvement. When he plays as a starter, he will be among the top scorers in any league he plays in. God gave him virtues that he has to take advantage of and polish, such as his aerial game or getting behind the backs of defenders.

“Let’s hope that the next sale is to Real Madrid.”

IS KUDUS JOINING?

It has been claimed that some ARSENAL fans have been taking to social media and claiming that West Ham star Mohamed Kudus is planning on joining the Gunners after being spotted at the club during their recent Champions League fixture.

Arsenal put in a brilliant display against PSG in the Champions League this week and looked like a side that could push on and really be one of the favourites to take the title away from Real Madrid

Away from the in-game action and one of the biggest talking points online was the appearance of West Ham midfielder Mohammed Kudus, who watched on from the stands.

Kudus was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal before his move to West Ham and was even linked with a move away from the Hammers in the summer, but in the end, he stayed out.

With all that being said, the midfielder’s decision to visit the Emirates on Tuesday night has got people talking, as a few fans have been spotted on social media suggesting that Kudus could be going to Arsenal.

Back in March, Kudus confirmed that he turned down a move to ARSENAL before joining West Ham last year for a reported fee of £38 million: “I was ready to make that step after the season I had at Ajax,” he said.

“I’m a player who doesn’t want to be in my comfort zone. I could have stayed at Ajax. I knew the league, I knew the club. But I don’t want to be complacent and comfortable. I always want to challenge myself.

“All the clubs you mentioned, it’s true they were in contact. But when West Ham came it moved fast and I made my decision based on speaking to people around the club, their project and how they see me as a player.”

ZUBIMENDI MAKES CLAIM

Long-time ARSENAL transfer target Martin Zubimendi has opened up and revealed that he does not regret the decision to stay with Real Sociedad during the summer window, as the Gunners were just one of a number of clubs that were keen on a transfer deal.

With Mikel Arteta keen to add a new midfielder to the squad over the course of the transfer window – there was alot of speculation in the media that the Spanish boss was very keen to try and secure a transfer deal for Zubimendi.

However – the midfielder rejected the chance to leave Sociediad and in the end, Arsenal managed to secure a transfer deal for Mikel Merino after months of speculation and rumours.

Speaking ahead of Real Sociedad’s Europa League clash with Anderlecht, the 25-year-old has now responded to suggestions that he ‘regrets’ turning down a move as his side have endured a pretty disappointing start to the campaign, only winning twice so far.

“Of course I don’t regret it, I can’t think that way after four or five games at the start of the season. I made my decision from within, I thought it was the best thing to do, the results don’t affect me.

‘I see potential in this team, you just have to watch us train. I’m excited about having a good season.

“In the end, like in every transfer window, things always come up. This summer it was my turn. These are things that happen and you have to deal with them in the best way possible.

“It is true that I was a bit uncomfortable with everything, especially the noise, but in the end, I isolated myself and made the decision that I thought was the right one.”
