Bundesliga star Volland tells Arsenal ‘“The Premier League is a very interesting league for me’ ahead of possible move
Arsenal have been boosted by the news that Bayer Leverkusen star Kevin Volland would be “very interested” in moving to the Premier League.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta may have not done the kind of business during the winter transfer window that many Gunners fans would have liked to see, but there is already a feeling in the media that the Spanish boss will bring in a few players during the summer to help improve the squad.
It is no secret that there are a number of players linked with a potential move away from the Emirates at the end of the season, and Arteta knows that he will need to delve into that transfer kitty and bring in the type of player that will help get challenging for major titles once again, and not just a top four spot.
And one player that is reportedly on the shopping list of Arsenal is that of Volland, as the versatile 27-year-old, who can play on the wing or up top, has yet to make a decision on his long-term future with the Bundesliga club, as interest in his services continue to grow.
Now Arsenal have been boosted in their quest to sign the man after German Volland is quoted by Goal as saying: “The Premier League is a very interesting league for me.
“The pace is extremely high, the league requires a lot of willingness to run – that would be fine for me. But you never know what will happen.
“I am also not the type of person who says, ‘I have to play again in England, Italy or Spain’. I feel very comfortable in Leverkusen and leave everything open.”
Now Look, If Arsenal to get back inside the top four next season and push on for titles, they need to change from signing average players to world class players, and although Volland is decent, can Arsenal fans really see him coming in and making a big impact on the side?
The answer is probably not.
