Arsenal tell £25 million hitman Sarr ‘they are interested’ in completing transfer deal

Arsenal have told Rennes striker Ismaila Sarr they have a strong interest in signing him at the end of the season.

Arsenal have two of the best forwards in Europe right now in the shape of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who have been scoring goals for fun for Unai Emery this season and helping the club keep up their chance of getting back into the Champions League next season.

And with Emery losing Aaron Ramsey to Juventus and Danny Welbeck out of contract at the end of the season, there has been alot of speculation which has suggested that the Spanish boss is keen to add anotehr attacker to the squad in the coming transfer windows.

And Sarr, who has scored nine goals and provided six assists in all competitions this season, has been linked with a move to the Emirates over the past few months after impressing the Gunners scouting team with his goal-scoring ability and performances.

Now French publication Le10 sport has claimed Arsenal have told the Senegal International that they have strong interest in trying to get a deal done at the end of the season, as they are only looking for loan deals during this January transfer window.

Would Sarr be a good signing for Arsenal if reports are true?

The striker has been impressive for Rennes this season and clearly has the ability to find the back of the net on a regular basis, but Arsenal already have two top-cass strikers and do not need to add another.

They should focus on trying to acquire players that will improve the weakest areas of the squad, especially if they want to challenge for more than just a top spot.
