Arsenal to cash in on superstar, Arteta urged to sign trio for Arsenal this summer, Midfielder heading back to Arsenal?
Odegaard to make Arsenal move, Arsenal to sell Aubameyang and Arteta told to sign trio in Arsenal top news….
Jamie O’Hara has urged Arsenal to go and splash the cash in the transfer market and sign Ander Herrera Kieran Trippier and Mauri Icardi
Mikel Arteta managed to spend a bit of money in the transfer window and add depth to that Arsenal squad, but they have not been the signings that would help the club challenge for a top four spot.
Goals from Sergi Canos and Christian Norgaard secured a precious first win in the Premier League for Brentford, but condemned the Gunners to the worst possible start, as The visitors looked flat from the first whistle, with the absence of both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette clearly an issue, but the performance was damning.
That has led to many people in the media suggesting that Arsenal need to delve back into the transfer kitty and add some top-level players to the squad that have actually competed at the top of the game.
Paris Saint-Germain reportedly need to drastically thin their playing squad after bringing in Lionel Messi and a raft of world class players on hefty wages this summer already, while there has been alot of talk that Trippier is interested in a move back to the Premier League.
Now, after seeing the Gunners put in that miserable performance against Brentford, O’Hara has opened up and urged the club to try and sign the trio of players over the next few weeks.
“They should sign Kieran Tripper, pay whatever they want – even if it is £30million,” he was quoted on TalkSport.
“PSG need to get rid of some players; go and get Mauro Icardi up front and then go and get Ander Herrera in midfield!
“It looks like they’ve just signed Brighton’s second best centre-half.”
If Arteta does not get those big time players over the next few weeks that will improve Arsenal, we firmly believe that he will be the first Premier League manager to get the sack this season
Reports have claimed that Arsenal are open to the idea of letting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave the club this transfer window
Aubameyang is a player that was banging in 20 goals a season since his move to the Bundesliga, and Arsenal made sure that they would keep hold of the Gabon hitman last summer window.
He was all set to leave on a free deal before the Gunners board offered him a contract worth £350,000-a-week, and many Arsenal fans were delighted to see that he committed his future to the club.
However, he struggled for goals, form and any consistency last season and looked like a player that was no longer able to score the amount of goals that Mikel Arteta was hoping for.
The north London outfit already stand to make a loss on the Gabon international having signed him for £60m in January 2018, with reports now claiming that the club will consider offers for their star striker.
According to The Times, Mikel Arteta unsatisfied with the striker’s scoring form and therefore the club could offload their highest-earning player.
And the reports go on to suggest that Arsenal will allow Auba to leave the club this transfer window for a fee of just £22 million.
If the reports are true and Arsenal are open to the idea of letting Aubameyang leave the club this transfer window, it would change the transfer plans of the club massively
He is the biggest player at the club, but is not the player he was just a couple of seasons ago. Arsenal need a striker that can score the goals and if he cannot do it, then yes sell the man
However, despite the latest reports, it would be a massive shock to see the player leave the club as it seems that Arsenal have done all the business they can do this summer, despite the fact they have one of the worst squads they have had in the last ten years
Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard could be on his way back to Arsenal sooner rather than later.
Odegaard was a player that made a big impact with the Arsenal fans last season when he made the shock decision to leave Madrid on loan and get some game time at the Premier League giants until the end of the season.
Mikel Arteta made no secret that he wanted to keep hold of Odegaard at the start of the transfer window, but it seemed that he wanted to head back to Madrid and prove himself in that Real side.
However, despite all the reports that he wanted to stay, according to reports in Spain, as per @MadridXtra on Twitter, Odegaard has chosen to leave the La Liga giants who are now willing to sell him and a deal could be completed in the ‘next few hours/days
Real Madrid may have dropped the biggest hint yet that Odegaard is not part of their plans this season, with the Norwegian left out of their 21-man squad to face Alaves for their La Liga season opener.
Carlo Ancelotti’ s squad included midfielders such as Luka Modric, Casemiro, Fede Valverde, Lucas Vazquez, Isco and Antonio Blanco, but there was no sign of Odegaard
And football.london understands that the Gunners are set to make a formal offer for the playmaker after he signalled his intent to leave Real Madrid.
It is easy to see just why the Gunners were so keen to get Odegaard signed up early in the transfer window and are still keen to get a deal done, as Odegaard is a player that has huge potential
He has proven himself in the Premier League, so if the reports are true, surely Arsenal fans would be delighted to see him make that move back to the Emirates
