£600K-a-week superstar told Arsenal ‘is better move to make’ – rivals left fuming

Will Lewandowski leave Bayern?

Chris Sutton has told Robert Lewandowksi that he would be better off joining Arsenal rather then Man United this summer

Lewandowski hit the headlines just a few weeks ago after he emerged and announced that his time with Bayern is done – he wants a fresh challenge and wants to leave the German side this transfer window

Bayern have no intention of letting him go without a fight – as they do not have an adequate replacement for the 50 -goals that he scored last season – but still the speculation increases about where he will go

Barcelona are the clear favourites to sign the great man – but there has been some rumours in the media that Man United may make an offer to get him should that move to the Camo Nou falls through

The Red Devils recorded their lowest ever points tally in a Premier League campaign last season as they finished sixth – and Erik Ten Hag is keen to make a few statement signings this transfer window

However – amid that speculation Sutton can’t see why Lewandowski would want to go to United and thinks the teams that finished above them last term – Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal – would all be more preferable choices.

‘I have seen that Lewandowski has been linked. If he doesn’t go to Barcelona, then he will go to Manchester United. But why?! Why would he want to go to Manchester United? There are bigger and better options out there,’ Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live.

‘Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs, at this moment in time and Arsenal are a better option, at this moment in time than Manchester United.

‘One club seems to be stable under Arteta, I am not saying Arteta has torn up too many trees, but they are in a better position and they are better placed than Manchester United.’

Lewandowski is one of the best players in world football and wants to be winning titles – playing Champions League football and getting the big money – and right now Arsenal and Man United cannot offer him that

He would be a brilliant signing for either side – but we cant see it happening
