Arsenal told sign powerhouse – Arsenal decide to get midfielder deal done – Edu makes £35M Gunners decision
Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today –
Arsenal have renewed their interest in signing Dusan Vlahovic, according to the Daily Express
The transfer window is only a few days away and it will give Mikel Arteta the chance to delve into that transfer kitty once more and try to sign a striker that will bang in goals on a weekly basis.
ARSENAL have started the season in fine fashion and are once again in the hunt to try and win the Premier League title – but there is a feeling that they are missing that 25-goal a season forward to really compete with Man City for that Premier League title.
That has led to constant rumours in the media linking the Gunners with a move for Vlahovic – who only moved to Juventus two summers ago – but has constantly been linked with a move away as he struggled to score the goals they wanted him too.
The Serbian forward has scored six goals in 15 Serie A games for the Old Lady this season and is a man that Arsenal have been linked with in Previous windows, but have simply been unable to get a deal done.
However – The Daily Express have claimed that Arsenal are once again interested in signing the striker – but Gunners transfer chief Edu is reportedly refusing to pay more than £35m for the Juventus player.

Vlahovic is a very good forward that would score goals in that Arsenal side – but there are many ARSENAL fans out there that would prefer the board make a move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney – he is seemingly the forward that fans believe could help bring that Premier League title back to the Emirates.
Vlahovic is a very good striker, but he only has six goals this season – that is not the kind of numbers that Mikel Arteta needs.
PARTEY FREE TO LEAVE –
Arsenal are supposedly open to selling Thomas Partey this January, it has once again been claimed in the media.
Thomas Partey has been a player that has been in the transfer headlines ever since the news broke that ARSENAL were interested in signing Declan Rice.

And since the Midfielders move to the Emirates for £105 million – there has been even more rumours in the media suggesting that he wants out – that he is interested in a move away and does not fancy sitting on the bench.
Mikel Arteta has tried to incorporate the midfielder into his side by changing his position in the side and messing around with the tactics of his squad, which has had mixed results so far this season.
But according to reports on the Sun website, Arsenal have made the decision to allow Partey to leave the club once again after another injury hit season.
The midfielder is also one of the club’s highest earners, taking home £200,000-a-week.

There has already been so much speculation about Thomas Partey leaving the club for Juventus and we are still in September, so we are sure there will be alot more said about this over the next few months.
If Partey wants to play on a regular basis and does not fancy keeping the bench warm, then a move away from the Emirates may be the best thing for him and his career.
ARSENAL will use the £30 million they could possibly get and sign a player that adds something different to the squad – so if does Partey moves on – he will not be missed too much.
ARSENAL TOLD SIGN SOLANKE
Arsenal have been urged to NOT sign Ivan Toney and instead look at Bournemouth’s Dominc Solanke.
The Gunners have once again been one of the most exciting sides to watch in the Premier League this season and have a real chance of winning that title if they are able to score the goals needed.

But Mikel Arteta has seen his side struggle at times this season, as Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus are not players that can score 20-30 goals a season, somthing that is needed at the Emirates.
Solanke started his professional career at Chelsea after spending a decade in the academy at Stamford Bridge. He was a prolific goalscorer at youth level but was rarely given the chance for the first team.
After an unsuccessful spell at Liverpool, he has found a home at Bournemouth and is finally proving he can score goals in the Premier League. He is enjoying his best campaign in front of goal in the top flight, with 12 strikes in 18 appearances.
And amid the speculation – Pundit Chris Sutton has opened up and told ARSENAL that they should try and sign Solanke this transfer window, rather than top transfer target Ivan Toney.
Pundit Chris Sutton said: “There’s been plenty of talk already about how manager Mikel Arteta needs to sign another striker in January.
“Toney has been linked for a while, but he has not played for months because of his suspension. He will have been training, but how much match sharpness does he have?
“Arsenal are trying to win the title, so they haven’t got time to wait for anyone to get up to speed.
“If we are looking at the names that are supposedly within their grasp, Bournemouth’s Solanke stands out as the best candidate.”

We are not sure that Solanke is able to lead the attack for one of the biggest clubs, he tried at Chelsea, he tried at Liverpool and failed to do so, so it would be a surprise to see ARSENAL signing him
At this stage of his career, he is at the best club for him and leaving could be another transfer mistake.
