Arsenal told sign striker – Arsenal told €130 million will get deal done – moves made to sign Arsenal star
Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed from icfootballnews including Victor Osimhen – Eddie Nketiah and Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal will reportedly have to meet the €130 million release clause of Napoli star Victor Osimhen this summer window if they want to complete the signing of the big Niegerian forward.
Osimhen is a player that has been linked with a move to ARSENAL for months – the Gunners are reportedly still very interested in trying to bring the big man to the Emirates before the close of the transfer window, but his asking price has been a real.
Arsenal didnt want to pay that £111 million clause on his contract at the beginning of the summer, so Napoli lowered the asking price to £87 million in order to try and get him sold – but the Gunners dont want to pay that amount for the player either.
Gianluca di Marzio reports ARSENAL remain firmly interested in Osimhen after this weekend’s developments at Napoli after it was revealed that he has asked for a move away from the club.
DiMarzio noted that while the Nigerian forward continues to attract interest from Paris Saint-Germain and various clubs in the Saudi Pro League, the Gunners should not be overlooked in the discussions.
And recent reports indicated that Naples are still seeking to activate the striker’s €130 million release clause, which translates to approximately £109 million
Sporting director Giovanni Manna addressed Osimhen’s future, saying that the big man has handed in a transfer request in order to force a move away from Napoli before the club of the transfer window.
“He asked to leave.” The club chief continued: “We are calm because we have players in the squad who can replace him in the best way.
“However, we do not want to harm the integrity of the group and want to preserve it. We will see what will happen in the next few days.”

Look, we know that Osimhen has wanted to leave Napoli for months now – but if clubs dont want to meet his high asking price and then given him the reported £250k-a-week wages that he desires – what are the club meant to do.
EDDIE NKETIAH WANTED –
Bournemouth are interested in Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, talkSPORT understands, as the transfer rumours continue to swirl that he is still a player that the Gunners are open to selling this transfer window.
The academy graduate has played a big part in the Arsenal squad this season, but has largely found himself on the bench on a weekly basis under Mikel Arteta.
It is no secret that ARSENAL are eyeing up a striker this coming summer window – which means that Nketiah would fall even further down the pecking order at the club – and that has led to speculation that he is a player that the Gunners are willing to sell.
That has led to reports that the likes of West Ham and Newcastle are interested in a move for the player, as both clubs knows that they need to add another striker to the attack, although that £40 million asking price is a bit high.
Nketiah is available to Premier League clubs after Marseille pulled out of the running to sign him, and Bournemouth have had an initial offer for Porto’s Brazilian striker Evanilson rejected as they search for a Dominic Solanke replacement, meaning that they are not interested in Nketiah.
Despite struggling to make himself a first team regular, the 25-year-old has scored 38 times for the Gunners, including 19 in the Premier League.
Amid the speculation – Alan Smith recently opened up and encouraged the striker to leave ARSENAL , along with Aaron Ramsdale and Reiss Nelson: “I think there are several players at Arsenal that must move on for the good of their careers,” Smith told Lord Ping.
“Ramsdale does not want to be sitting on the bench all season again, does he? Eddie Nketiah used to get 20 minutes quite regularly the season before this one, but since Havertz has come in, that’s not happening anymore.
“It’s a shame for him because I do like him. He’s come through the ranks and he’s a good finisher but with so little game time I’m sure now he’ll want to start really getting his career going. Reiss Nelson is in a very similar situation. He needs to be playing regularly now.”
ARSENAL TOLD SIGN OSIMHEN –
Former Arsenal defender Lauren believes that if signed Victor Osimhen – he would prove vital to Mikel Arteta’s side and provide him with a completely new playing style.
That has not stopped all the rumours that Arsenal are still keen on the man and now former Gunners star Lauren has opened up and encouraged his former club to try and sign the big Nigerian star – He claimed via MyBettingSites.co.uk: “The thing is that Osimhen is a different player to what we currently have. We know Gabriel Jesus is a fantastic player. When you play for Arteta, you need to go and press the centre-backs, you need to press the full-backs, you need to come and receive the ball.
“You need to have the technical ability to play one-touch passes and connect with Ødegaard, Rice, Saka. And you also need to have the work-rate to do the defensive duties that Arteta will demand of you.
So, I believe that if they sign Osimhen, it’s because they’ve been seeing that he’ll be capable of connecting with the technical side of the game and also to have the work-rate needed to defend.
“As a player, he’s very good. He will score goals. I’ve been watching his tapes and he can score goals off set pieces, he can score when the ball is on the side and he can curl it in.
‘He’s very good with his head and also possesses good one-touch finishing inside the box. He’s a top player.”
