Arsenal encouraged to not let £30M star leave the Emirates – ‘it would be a mistake’

William Gallas has advised former club ARSENAL to keep Kieran Tierney at the end of the season.

Tierney was signed by the Gunners just a few seasons ago after establishing himself over in the Scottish Leagues, and he quickly established himself as a firm favourite at the Emirates.

However – a number of injuries have limited his time on the pitch and after the Gunners signed Oleksander Zinchenko – he has really struggled to get in the side this season.

That has led to all sorts of speculation in the media that he is one player that the Arsenal would be open to letting go at the end of the season – with the likes of Newcastle and West Ham linked with a move

However – amid all the speculation and the rumours – Gallas thinks that would be a mistake and has encouraged the Gunners to keep hold of the defender.

He told Genting Casino: “You always need two quality players in every position if you want to be successful in the Premier League.

“If Tierney goes to Newcastle, then they won’t have that competition. You have to find the best solution for all of the parties because I’m sure Tierney wants to play more regularly.

“Arsenal need to have good, young players who are waiting to come through and prove their quality.”

Tierney is a man that wants to play – he does not want to be back-up.

If he left ARSENAL it could reignite his career – if he stays – he could see himself sitting on the bench again next season.

He will have a big decision to make – there will be offers – and there will be an offer from the Arsenal hierarchy – it will definitely be very interesting to see what the man does that is for sure.
