Arsenal told to sign dynamite winger from Premier League rivals

Emmanuel Petit has told his old club Arsenal to take a chance on Jadon Sancho and sign him this summer.

Before Sancho made that move to Man United just a few seasons ago – he was rated as one of the best and most creative wingers in the Bundesliga and a man that could add about 20 assists a season.

The move to Man United was meant to be tat next step in his career – but issues off the pitch and the inability to get on with his boss – coupled with some dodgy performances has meant that he did not live upto expectations – and was shipped back to Borussia Dortmund on loan.

But Sancho has scored three goals and registered one assist in all competitions for Dortmund since returning to the club on loan in January and looks every bit like the player he was just a few seasons ago.

Now Petit believes ARSENAL could reap the rewards by signing the England international in a similar way to how they revived Kai Havertz’s career after a sticky spell at Chelsea.

Speaking to Grosvenor Sport, Petit said: “I was saying how impressed I was with Jadon Sancho in the Champions League on commentary – he looks like a new player, so fit, thin and explosive.

‘He’s like dynamite on the pitch, so explosive on the ball with [Karim] Adeyemi on the left flank – so hard to catch.

‘He’s back to his best and Man United look so far away from them, so if Arsenal want him, why not? You can put the best player in the world at Man United at the moment and they’d look average in two months.”

There is no doubt that there is a special player inside that body of Sancho – he just needs the right League, the right coach and the right place to get the very best out of him and maybe the Bundesliga is just that.

He would not be a regular starter at ARSENAL – meaning he wouldnt feel compelled to make the move to London. So even though he could be a solid signing – it is not the right move for Arsenal or the player.
