Arsenal told to sign French star – £325k-a-wee star would be brilliant signing – German open to Arsenal move

According to Bacary Sagna, Rafael Varane would be a ‘brilliant signing’ for Arsenal, providing ‘perfect cover’ for William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes at the heart of Mikel Arteta’s defence.

Varane is a player that is a free agent this summer after making the decision to leave Man United – and there are quite a few clubs that have been linked with a move for the Champions League and World Cup winner.

Now – amid all the speculation and rumours – Sagna has opened up and claimed that Arsenal should sign the Frenchman – he said: ‘Of course, Raphael Varane would be a good addition for a leading Premier League club because he’s a top player. He has such a wealth of experience and has won so many trophies during his career.

‘I played with him for France. He is a fantastic player with a lot left to offer because he is only 31 years old.

‘I actually think he would be a brilliant signing for Arsenal. Varane would be a perfect fit for the vibe of the club because of his winning mentality and personality.

‘He would get on really well with the players in Arsenal’s squad because he is a great player and a great man.

‘I saw him a couple of days ago at the Champions League final and he was in great spirits. He is a football lover before anything, and he still has that desire and competitiveness to play at the top level for a few more seasons.

‘As an addition to the Arsenal squad, I think he would be perfect. He would be perfect cover for either William Saliba or Gabriel and could step into the team when either of those players needed a rest or if they were to get injured.

‘Arsenal need some more quality in reserve in central defence and Varane would be a wonderful addition.’

KIMMICH OPEN TO MOVE – 

Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich is reportedly open to the idea of making a move to Arsenal this summer window.

The German midfielder sees his contract at Bayern expire in 2025 with no progress as yet of an extension. As a result, and according to Kerry Hau of Sky Germany, Kimmich would consider a move to Arsenal this summer if he decides to leave Bayern

Furthermore, Hau states that Bayern would be willing to sell Kimmich should a “suitable offer” arrive.

Kimmich is one of the best midfielders in the world and a man that Bayern fans will not want to see depart the club in the next transfer window – so this news will come as a shock to the system.

ARSENAL have been doing some very good business over the past couple of transfer windows  -but if they are able to get a deal done for this man – he would be a great signing.

He is proven at the highest level of the game – is a proven winner – can play in numerous positions and is a leader on the pitch – he could be a real bargain for the club that is for sure.

But there are quite a few clubs interested – so it will be interesting to see where he ends up if he does move as he would probably much prefer a move to La Liga – as it is just as easy as the Bundesliga.

But as we said – he could be a very good signing for Arsenal if they are interested in the man that is for sure as he is the type of big named signing that would worry Man City boss Pep Guardiola.

ARSENAL TOLD TO SIGN RASHFORD – 

Ex-Arsenal star Bacary Sagna has encouraged the club to make a move for Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford,

Arsenal have been linked with a forward who can play out wide in recent months. They are eager to add some electric pace along their front line and cover for Bukayo Saka, though Rashford more often plays off the left, which is occupied by Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

Rashford is seemingly not happy at Man United under the guidance of Erik Ten Hag and there has been alot of speculation in the media that he is one player that the board would allow to leave at the end of the season if the right transfer offer is made.

Sagna believes the Gunners should test United’s resolve for the two-time FA Cup winner this summer.

‘I would love to see Marcus Rashford at Arsenal. I think if you added Rashford to Arsenal’s attack, with the pace that he has, Arsenal would destroy the opposition,’ the former Arsenal, Manchester City and France full-back told CoinPoker.

‘Adding Rashford to an extremely talented squad would be a frightening prospect for Arsenal’s rivals.

‘Rashford is so quick. I think Arsenal having Rashford would enable Arsenal to have more variety in attack and I would love to see Gabriel Jesus and Marcus Rashford in the same team, pressing with so much intensity.

‘It would be a brilliant capture and I think there is room in the squad for a player of Rashford’s ability because Gabriel Jesus won’t be able to play every game and Kai Havertz can also play in a number of roles.

‘Rashford joining Arsenal would be a wonderful signing for the club and a real statement of ambition.’

Look, Ten Hag will leave Man United before Rashford does and we are not expecting ARSENAL to sign the attacker – there is no real need for him at the Emirates.
