Arsenal fans closer to see summer arrival of Partey after Gunners agree £22.1 million Torreira departure
Arsenal and Torino have reached a £22.1million agreement for the transfer of Lucas Torreira, according to reports in Italy.
Torreira completed a £26million move from Sampdoria to Arsenal last summer and the 23-year-old had a promising debut season in north London, making 50 appearances in all competitions.
But lasts season the 23-year old has struggled to kick on after his great first season and has only recently managed to force himself into the plans of Mikel Arteta.
Torreira has constantly showed his desire to leave the Arsenal, and that has started rumours once again that a number of clubs are interested in taking him away from the club this transfer window.
And with Arsenal seeking to raise funds in order to sign their top target Thomas Partey, Torreira is about to help Arsenal sign the Madrid midfielder after Calciomercato claimed that Torreira is heading back to Italy to sign with Torino in a deal that is worth £22.1 million.
The reports adds Torino have reportedly come up with £11m to loan Torreira this season with an obligation to buy for another £11m next summer, and that the Arsenal midfielder can thank defender Armando Izzo, who is set to leave Torino for Roma, paving the way for Torino to be able to afford the Uruguayan.
It seems like Arsenal fans are constantly reading about the future of Torreira and his desire to part the club, so if the reports are true and he is set to depart the club, the fans will be hoping that Partey is officially signed to replace the player.
Partey is just the type of star Arsenal need in the centre of the pitch and so with that being said, lets see if the reports are true about Torreira leaving as it will then mean Arsenal fans get closer to seeing the signing of Partey.
