Arsenal fc transfer news: £52 million defender Upamecano has reveals ‘he is ready to hand in transfer request’ to get summer move
Arsenal have been put on red alert after Dayot Upamecano revealed he is ready to hand in a transfer request in a bid to force through a transfer.
Now Look, There has been so much speculation and rumours in the media over the past few weeks about whom Mikel Arteta will sign in the summer, to sort his dodgy back-line out, to improve that midfield area, and a possible replacement to come in and possibly replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is destined to leave the club.
But there has also ben constant rumours that Arsenal are interested, maybe even desperate, to sign up the impressive Upamecano, who is easily regarded as one of the finest young centre-backs in the game having helped RB become a very exciting, and entertaining to watch.
It is believed that Arsenal will make a summer move, it is believed that Arsenal will offer £52 million, and it is also believed that RB will say HELL no, ‘we want more’ as they rate the talent very highly, but still, Arsenal will make a move anyways.
But, German outlet Bild have claimed Upamecano will hand in a transfer request if no club matches the valuation in a bid to force through an exit as he is ready to himself at the very highest level of the game.
However, Arsenal are not the only chasers for the defender as Spanish football expert Guillem Balague revealed that Barcelona are also in the hunt for the young man: “Upamecano, top player, there was talk about him two years ago and he will be wanted by many, many teams,” Balague said per FOOTBALL LONDON
“Barcelona want a centre-back, a midfielder, a winger perhaps and a striker.
“They’re going for that, depending on what happens with [Martin] Braithwaite of course.
“I don’t think Lautaro Martinez and Neymar can come at the same time, they just don’t have the finances, it’s as simple as that, even though they will try and get rid of eight or nine players in the summer yet again.
“So it won’t be easy to get both, perhaps even impossible.”
