Arsenal urged to sell £200,000-a-week star this summer transfer window

Danny Murphy believes Arsenal should look to sell striker Alexandre Lacazette this summer if they need money to sign more players.

The French forward, who missed Arsenal’s 2-0 opening day defeat against Brentford on Friday due to illness along with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has been linked with a move away from the club during this window.

The Frenchman has not been the goal-scoring hitman that the Gunners had hoped for and Mikel Arteta knows that he needs to delve into that transfer kitty once more this transfer window and add a new striker to the squad.

But despite all the rumours that Auba could be the man that departs the Emirates this transfer window, Murphy has opened up and suggested that Lacazette should be the man that Arsenal sell by the end of the transfer window

Murphy told talkSPORT: “If I was Arteta I’d make some definitive decisions and stick to a team that’s capable and some tactics that you can actually see.

“We were quite enthused [with Arteta] at the beginning, there was some positivity there. Then some negativity came and he became proactive not reactive. It’s like they’ve lost their way a bit.

“But when I say definitive I’d be telling Aubameyang that he’d play week in, week out up front. Whatever it, needs you play him, week in, week out and he’ll score you goals. And if you need funds then let Lacazette go.”

Auba and Lacazette are two players that should be replaced at the Emirates as they are not good enough to score the goals anymore, but if wee had to choose, then yes, we would let the Frenchman leave

But Arsenal are loyal to their players and will probably not well, which will mean that they will probably again have trouble finding the back of the net

Aubanyang and Lacazette are still very good but Arteta formation is what is wrong and not working because he lack tact and Aubanyang and Lacazette are bigger boys so Arteta must have a better tactics for him to succeed at Arsenal instead of conte let Arteta continue with caution Alligeri is a better coach but it seems Kroenke wants it on the cheap if those you are fighting with are signing quality players Arteta is signing for gamble how can it work
