Wow! Arsenal urged to make move and sign PSG-Linked Alli from Tottenham this summer window
Arsenal should make a shock move to prise Dele Alli away from rivals Tottenham, club legend Ray Parlour has suggested.
Alli has been the subject of much transfer speculation over the past few weeks, as reports in the media have suggested that Jose Mourinho will allow him to leave, with both Real Madrid and PSG ready to offer him a summer move.
He was once again left out of the matchday squad against Southampton on Sunday afternoon, in which Tottenham run out 5-2 winners, and that has once again stirred up reports that he has played his last game for the club.
It is believed that PSG are the favourites to prise Alli away from the club this summer, if he does leave the club, but The ex-Gunner believes his former employers should make a move for the midfielder,
Speaking on talkSPORT, Parlour said: “I think he would be more of a fit than Jorginho.
“I’ve always said they’re (Arsenal) lacking goals from midfield. I don’t think Spurs would sell Dele Alli to Arsenal.”
Look, there is no doubt that Alli has real quality and ability, but his numbers and stats have been declining on a season basis, and he looks nothing like the man that bagged an impressive 18 goals in one season just a few seasons ago.
Mourinho has said that he believes that Alli will stay at the club, so it would be a big shock to see him leave this summer, especially to Arsenal.
But we also believe that if Tottenham receive the right amount of money for the Englishman, then they will actually let him leave the club and reinvest that money on a player that is more suited to the style of Mourinho.
But no, Arsenal will not be the club that he makes a move too.
