Liverpool and Man United can have Ramsey as Arsenal line-up exciting £60 million replacement Havertz
Reports have claimed Arsenal are lining up a move for Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Kai Havertz, as a possible replacement for Aaron Ramsey.
With constant rumours in the British media all claiming that Ramsey is done at the Emirates and is playing his last season at the club after failing to agree a new contract, focus for Emery has now switched on to whom he will be signing to replace the Welshman.
Gunners boss Unai Emery knows he needs to find an immediate replacement for Ramsey and has his scouts out and about searching for potential targets, and one name that has been mentioned on the ESPN website lately is Havertz, who is one of the games brightest talents.
Since making his debut in 2016, nineteen-year-old Havertz has gone on to make seventy-three appearances for the Bundesliga side and shown great skill and composure on the ball for such a young lad.
And with reports Leverkusen are willing to cash in on their prized asset for a fee of around £60 million, it could be a great long-term investment by the Gunners, who prefer to sign players with a future rather than established stars that will be at the club for 3-4 years.
Would Havertz be a good buy for Arsenal? Here is what we think.
It is no secret that the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool are prepared to offer Ramsey the kind of contract offer he feels he deserves and could stay in the Premier League next season, even though Arsenal would like to get rid in the January window to a foreign club.
But Havertz is not the right man to come in and replace the Welshman, as he is simply not ready for the physicality of the Premier League and has a few more years of development before he could walk straight into the Gunners starting line-up.
