Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today…

TNT Pundit Eni Aluko has opened up and claimed that paying €90 million in the January transfer window for the likes of Chelsea, ARSENAL and Manchester United would be a real winter bargain, as the striker will bring goals.

Arsenal were one of the many clubs interested in Osimhen in the summer window, but the Gunners did not want to pay his massive asking price and in the end, the Blues missed out on getting the big Nigerian star and he eventually made his way to Galatasaray.

Osimhen reminded his former and current suitors of his goalscoring prowess on Thursday night, finding the net against Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Europa League, although he missed alot of chances to add to his two goals against the Premier League side.

Aluko responded that Osimhen’s reported release clause of £109.5 million might have dissuaded Premier League clubs from making a move, though this has been reduced after signing a new contract until June 2027.

“I think the price tag scared a lot of teams off. I think it’s €130 million the break clause. That’s a lot of money for the Arsenals who are probably looking at him,” said Aluko

“I think it’s come down now because Napoli want to do a deal. I think it’s come down to €90 million [for January] which I think is a steal.”

She Added: “He’s guaranteed goals. Even though he’s fallen out with Napoli. He scores goals. He’s great in the air, a physical presence. He’s a sort of throwback.

“He’ll always run down the centre. He’s not interested in coming deep. He’ll go down the gut of teams. He just wants to get in the box and he dominates. He wants that contact with defenders.

“I actually respect the fact that he’s not gone to Saudi Arabia, because I think he could’ve done. But I think he knows that he can still play at the highest level.
“And ultimately I think what makes a lot of these players is their character, that bit of maverick about them.

“So I think an ARSENAL or a Chelsea should be looking at him. Arsenal in particular, who’ve got goalscoring problems.”

SESKO’S ARSENAL DECISION –

ARSENAL wanted to sign Benjamin Sesko in the January window from RB Leipzig and add to their attack, but it seems the presence of Kai Havertz is the reason why the Bundesliga striker make the decision to not move to the Emirates.

Over the course of the summer transfer window – there was so much speculation and rumours about who would come in and lead that attack for Mikel Arteta as they seek to claim that Premier League titles.

So many names were linked with a move to the Emirates, including the impressive Sesko, but in the end, Arteta made the decision to not sign a proven striker and keep what he had.

Kai Havertz has started the new season in fine fashion, while Gabriel Jesus is really struggling to get into the side, meaning that he could be sacrificed in the upcoming transfer window in order to sign a player like Sesko.

The Slovenian international signed a new contract with RB Leipzig in the summer and has already begun the season very well. Six goals and three assists in the first nine games including three in the first two Champions League matches against Juventus and Atletico Madrid is an excellent start.

Now – According to the Daily Mail, it is the presence of Germany international Havertz at Emirates Stadium that led Sesko to shun any interest from north London. The 21-year-old frontman has said to have had “concerns he would be second choice”.

However – despite that new contract being signed by the big striker – there has been some reports in the media which have now claimed that he could be available to sign in the winter window if the right offer arrives.

RB know that they will not be able to hold on to their star man if he continues to score the goals he has been, meaning that they are prepared to cash in should they get an offer that is simply too good to turn down.

Sesko is brilliant and showing ARSENAL why they should have signed him in the summer. Havertz has started the season very well, but every Arsenal fan knows that his form drops off and injuries will also happen.

ARSENAL WANTS KUDUS

GETTY

Valued by the Hammers at £85million, the 23-year-old has really impressed in that West Ham shirt since his move from Ajax, and Arteta is thought to be a huge admirer of Kudus after seeing him in action during his time in the Netherlands.

Many people doubted that Kudus would be able to adapt to the quality and pace of the Premier League when he made the decision to sign for West Ham in the summer – but he really has impressed in that Hammers shirt.

The news that Arsenal are interested will not come as a massive shock to West Ham – but for the money that is being talked about is mad

£85 million for Kudus is alot of money and we are not even sure that he has the ability to score 20,30 goals a season that the club may need in the future. He would be a solid enough signing – but as we said – not for the kind of money that is being talked about.

It will be interesting to see who Arteta will get as ARSENAL boss –  The fans will expect some big named signings and not any more talents in the next few windows.

But we cant see Kudus at Arsenal anytime soon
