Arsenal ‘CLOSELY’ keeping an eye on striker with six goals already this season ahead of January move!
Arsenal are closely monitoring Benjamin Sesko this season with the possibility of revisiting their interest in the striker in the future, it has been claimed in the Spanish media this week.
So many names were linked with a move to the Emirates, including the impressive Sesko, but in the end, Arteta made the decision to not sign a proven striker and keep what he had.
Kai Havertz has started the new season in fine fashion, while Gabriel Jesus is really struggling to get into the side, meaning that he could be sacrificed in the upcoming transfer window in order to sign a player like Sesko.
The Slovenian international signed a new contract with RB Leipzig in the summer and has already begun the season very well. Six goals and three assists in the first nine games including three in the first two Champions League matches against Juventus and Atletico Madrid is an excellent start.
However – despite that new contract being signed by the big striker – there has been some reports in the media which have now claimed that he could be available to sign in the winter window if the right offer arrives.
According to Fichajes.net, Arsenal are determined to bolster their attack in the upcoming transfer window and already have three top-level strikers on their radar: Benjamin Sesko, Viktor Gyokeres and Dusan Vlahovic.
And if you believe the words of Watts – ARSENAL are keeping a close eye on the talented striker – Watts wrote: “Obviously they were very keen to bring him in during the last transfer window, but the 21-year-old decided to stay and sign a new contract with Leipzig.
‘That decision was a disappointment to ARSENAL, but I don’t believe it was a decision that burned any bridges between the club and the striker in terms of a move in the future.
“A lot of groundwork was done before the summer window, and I don’t believe there has been any sort of breakdown in relationship behind the scenes just because Sesko opted to stay put.”
