Arsenal wants to sign brilliant £50M star – Spaniard responds to rumours!
Arsenal have made an approach to sign Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams – but it seems that he has dreams of a move elsewhere.
The Gunners board are expected to keep on spending over the next few months – and have been linked with a move for the impressive Nico Williams – who is now regarded as one of the most exciting young attackers in the game and a player that has been tipped for a big move.
Now according to Spanish newspaper Sport, ARSENAL have made an approach for Williams through an intermediary, however, the Premier League side have been told that the winger’s preference is to join Barcelona.
The report claims that Arsenal have been advised to be patient during negotiations and that they could take advantage of Barcelona’s financial situation with the La Liga club needing to sell in order to bring new players in.
Amid all the speculation and rumours – Reporter Iomie Stanley recently claimed that he believes that Arsenal does not need to sign Nico Williams this summer. Speaking to icfootballnews – he said : “Arsenal have so many youngsters and I believe they need more experience in the team. They need match winners and experienced players rather than an entire squad of young gems.
“I don’t believe they need another young winger right now. ARSENAL need players that have been around the Premier League for many years, that have won trophies and know how to win.
“I think they’re already maxed out with youngsters if I’m being completely honest and they need to keep on adding big named players to the side that will send a statement to Man City for next season.’
