Arsenal will sign 20-goal striker – Gunners backed to sign 27-goal star – Arteta told sign Big Man

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –

It has again been claimed that Arsenal will look to add a 20-goal a season strike to the squad when the transfer window opens up.

The Premier League season is far from over for many ARSENAL fans, and many are still dreaming that the club can pull off a miracle and bring that title back to London.

But there is also alot of transfer speculation in the media about players that will come in and players that will have to be sold, and according toa recent report on The Athletic, the club is eyeing reinforcements in attack and could be open to offloading Gabriel Jesus or Eddie Nketiah to facilitate incoming transfers

And amid all the latest rumours, amid all the latest speculation and amid that fact that the club could win that Premier League title – Journalist Dharmesh Sheth has opened up and claimed that the board will look to sign a 20-goal a season striker to the side.

Speaking exclusively to GIVEMESPORT, Dharmesh Sheth said: “It wouldn’t surprise me if they go into the market again and do the very same thing. I think they’ll be looking at a striker, which everyone has been crying out for. But, on the flip side, they’ve managed to use players like Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard in that central position and still be in a position where they’re at the top of the league.

“They’ve scored the most goals and conceded the least, s o statistically, they’re absolutely doing fine, but why not i f they can bring in someone who can score those 20 goals a season to take them , if they’re not to win the league this season, over the line in the future?”

Mikel Arteta knows that he will need to get rid of the deadwood at the club to keep ARSENAL moving forward and Jesus is a man that is taking up alot of wages and space in the side.

Arsenal could use the money from the sale of Jesus to get a top-class forward and it will be interesting to see just what and who the club manage to sign in the next few months.

It will be a massive summer for the club that is for sure.

ARSENAL TOLD SIGN STRIKER –

Jamie O’Hara says Arsenal should ‘go all out’ to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United at the end of the summer transfer window.

ARSENAL will need to delve into that transfer kitty at the end of the season and add a new striker to the attack, even if they manage to win that Premier League title, as Man City will no doubt improve the squad in the transfer window.

Isak has been brilliant for Newcastle this season and added 20 goals to his side – with his performances linked with a move to one of the big clubs – and one of those clubs being Arsenal.

And amid the speculation pundit O’Hara feels the Sweden international could be the perfect addition up front – likening the attacker to Thierry Henry: ‘I would go all out and try and sign Isak,’ the former Spurs star said on Sky Sports News.

‘I don’t know if the situation changes at Newcastle with maybe the new rules coming in, but if they do need to sell then I would go and spend £100m on Isak. He’s going to get you a Premier League title.

‘If you get him in at ARSENAL… he reminds me very much of Thierry Henry.

‘I’m not saying he’s as good as him but he’s very much in the same ilk in the way he plays and everything he’s got.

‘I look at him and think: if you could get him out of Newcastle then he would be the one player I would sign.’

However – Speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast, Alan Shearer demanded that Newcastle do everything in their power to keep hold of Isak, claiming it would be ‘absolutely bonkers’ to cash in on the Swede.

‘He’s very good. He’s a very, very good player,’ Shearer – the Premier League’s all-time record goalscorer – said.

‘He’s a modern day forward… do you know the trend now, rather than centre-forward, he’s a forward. He’s a brilliant example of that.

‘He’s had one or two injuries this season but whilst he’s been on the pitch he has been absolutely magnificent.

‘He’s brilliant at running in behind because he’s quick and once he’s away you’re not catching him.

‘He’s also very clever at coming short and dragging defenders in with them, therefore leaving space in behind. He’s a very clever, intelligent player and he’s got great ability.

‘They’re sat on a great asset and it would be absolutely bonkers if Newcastle, for whatever reason, sold him in the summer.’

ARSENAL BACKED TO SIGN GUIRASSY –

Arsenal have been backed to sign Bundesliga sensation and Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy when the transfer window opens up.

It is no secret that with all the quality that Mikel Arteta has in that attack – with all the brilliant players – with all the creativeness that the likes of Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelly and Bukayo Saka Have – they are lacking a 25-30 goal a season striker.

Gabriel Jesus has shown his quality at times during his stay at the club – but he has spent more time on the bench that many would have likes, while Eddie Nketiah is simply not good enough to be the natural leader of that attack.

That has led to alot of speculation over the past few months that once that transfer window opens up for Arteta and Co. The Gunners board will give the Spaniard the cash he needs to bring in somebody that will improve that ARSENAL side.

Now, a report from CaughtOffside has linked Arsenal with one of the Bundesliga’s surprise stories of the season, and it suggests the Gunners may just be in the lead, as the report claims Arsenal have set their sights on Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy, who has registered 27 goals and three assists in all competitions this term.

ARSENAL have been brilliant all season and it is easy to see why the fans are getting excited for what will come over the next few seasons – but adding that new striker to the side must surely happen for the Gunners.

Only Mikel Arteta and Edu really know who they would like to sign – but Guirassy would not cost alot of money and he has proven himself to be a very impressive striker.

The only issue would be if he is ready to make that step up in the game.
