Benitez should make offer and bring midfielder Wilshere to Newcastle

England midfielder Jack Wilshere has decided to pack his bags and leave Arsenal, so Newcastle should make a move and offer him a switch to St. James Park.

Wilshere has been at the Gunners for seventeen years and was once hailed as the clubs next big thing, as he was full of potential and class.

But the midfielder has been plagued with injuries throughout his Gunners career and has not fulfilled the potential that once graced his teenage years.

And after weeks of talks and months of speculation,he confirmed on Wednesday that his time in London was up at the club and he was seeking more first team opportunities than what new Gunners boss Unai Emery is reportedly willing to offer him.

And a long list of clubs have shown their interest, including Newcastle, as boss Rafa Benitez looks to try and get Mike Ashley to spend and bring in a few quality payers.

The Spaniard enjoyed a great end to the season last year, picking up a number of solid results and finally bringing some sunshine on the club after a disappointing first half of the year.

And he is looking for a new playmaker to come in and run the show at St. James Park, and the need to buy a playmaker like Wilshere has become a must.

Yes Wilshere has been plagued by injuries and is not up the standard of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric or even Kevin De Bruyne, but at just 26-years of age, he has plenty of time to find his feet.

Wilshere played 38 games for the Gunners last season, which is one of his best years with the club and that suggests he is starting to get over his injury issues.

He may not score many goals, but he has the ability to find that one pass which opens up defences.

And for nothing, he could be seen as an absolute bargain if the Toon managed to secure a transfer deal.
