A close advisor to Edu has told the Arsenal man to bring Brazil international defender Yan Couto to the club in the summer window.

Arsenal still have a chance to win that Premier League title and are just hoping that Man City slip up in the final game of the season against West Ham – but the rumours have already started this season.

Defensively, it is thought that the north Londoners have had their eyes on both new full-backs and central defensive options as they seek to add a bit more depth to the squad and a number of big names has been linked with a move

However – it has been reported that A close advisor of ARSENAL sporting director Edu has told the clubs to splash £40 million and bring Brazilian International defender Couto to the Emirates.

Couto has enjoyed a fine season on loan at Girona from Man City, is now being looked at. As relayed by Football Transfers, Arteta’s side were rumoured to be closing in on a deal for Couto in 2020, but the 21-year-old opted for a move to Manchester instead.

Football Transfer also state their chief scout Paulo Xavier has told Arsenal to make a move for Couto this summer.

Edu has been doing some wonderful business for Arsenal over the past few transfer windows and adding players to the side that have made the club one of the best in the Premier League.

Couto has been impressive and he is a player that could add some depth to that Arsenal side – so of the reports are true then he could be a solid addition to the side.

ARSENAL will be active in the transfer window and it will be very interesting to see just who arrives at the club that is for sure.
