Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit has advised his former club to go and sign a midfielder in the January transfer window.

The agent of Moises Caicedo has revealed that Arsenal tried to sign Moises Caicedo while he was at Brighton.

But Ali Barat, Caicedo’s agent, has now disclosed that ARSENAL also made a late attempt to secure his signature in the closing stages of the transfer window.

The Gunners were linked with the star just under a year ago and tried on multiple occasions to get Brighton to let the midfielder leave, but that did not happen and the Gunners ended up signing Jorginho from Chelsea.

Since then, the Gunners board has delved into that transfer kitty on numerous occasions and brought in the brilliant Declan Rice, who is one of the best holding midfielders in Europe right now.
