Mikel Arteta announces star ‘ fully deserves’ contract he has just signed at Arsenal
ARSENAL boss Mikel Arteta has opened up and announced that Mohamed Elneny totally deserves the new contract that he has just signed up with.
The Egyptian star found game time hard to come by last season and had to watch the games from the bench, but he played a key role towards the end of the campaign for the Gunners.
And soon after the season has finished – Arsenal come out and announced that Elneny has agreed a new contract at the Emirates – something that had shocked many Gunners fans.
This season he has once again had to watch most of the games from the bench – but has done a decent job when he has been called upon by boss Mikel Arteta.
That led to alot of speculation in the media that he is one player that Arteta could let go – especially as Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey have been doing incredibly well for the Gunners.

However – Arsenal have made the decision to hand the man a new contract that will keep him at the club and now Arteta has opened up and announced that Elneny totally deserves the new contract that he has signed – he said:
“Totally deserved. He’s an absolute joy to have at the club.
“I think what the club has done is absolutely brilliant.
“We value the people that we have and we are going to stick with them in difficult moments.”

Elneny is not the most glamourous of players and it will probably comne as a shock that he has agreed a new contract at the club.
But he is a solid member of that ARSENAL squad and quite honestly – it is a contract that he does fully deserve.
