Arteta drops huge transfer hint, Star can join Arsenal for £40M, Arsenal told sign prolific striker
Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today…
Mikel Arteta says ARSENAL may target new signings in the January transfer window as they look to tackle an injury crisis that has been hampering their season so far this campaign.
This season, they have lost Ben White for an extended spell. Jurrien Timber has missed games, Gabriel has been the same. Riccardo Calafiori was a big signing in the summer but has so far been injury-prone. Oleksandr Zinchenko has missed big chunks of the season.
Takehiro Tomiyasu is still there and, most frustratingly for him, he always seems injured. Arsenal’s plan was to be “reactive rather than proactive” in the January window as they will look to potentially solve immediate issues but would be reluctant to do huge business next month.
They definitely want a striker and potentially a left winger, with a Premier League tile challenge on the line, the north London side need to find a solution for their many absences and the Spanish coach has suggested they will bring in some new faces next month.
He told reporters: “The window gives us an opportunity to strengthen the team if we feel that is needed and we feel that we have the capacity to do that as well. We are on it and just have to assess the situation because it is changing every week.
‘I’m positive that in a few weeks we’re going to be in a better place.”

This ARSENAL side is good enough to compete with the very best even if the club dont have their first team players available, Arteta has done such a good job at the club.
The January window will give the Arsenal coach a chance to add to his squad, but with no Edu now there working on deals, it will be interesting to see just who arrives in the winter window
ARSENAL CAN SIGN RASHFORD FO4 £40m
Manchester United are open to offloading Marcus Rashford in the January transfer window and value him at just £40 million ($51m), with the likes of ARSENAL one of the many clubs that have been linked with a potential move for the striker.
Rashford has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons again this season and looks nothing like the player that netted 30 goals for United just a few seasons ago.
He really struggled last season under boss Erik Ten Hag and has only managed to score 8 goals in all competitions for United, which is not good enough for a player of his ability and quality when he is on top of his game.
Now, According to the Telegraph, United started welcoming bids for the 27-year-old last summer following a drastic loss of form, and are ready to let him leave the club when the January window opens up next month, and could accept just £40 million for the star
ARSENAL were heavily linked with a move for Rashford in the summer window, but opted to not make a move for the winger as he would have cost far too much money.

A few seasons ago Rashford had the world at his feet, he was well on his way to becoming one of the very best footballers in the world, but that has all changed now and he looks like a player that is not interested in football.
If the reports are true and Man United are willing to let the star leave the club, then maybe it is the best thing for him as he needs a change, it is not working at Old Trafford.
There will be many fans that will be sad to see him go, but as we said, he looks nothing like the player that could bang in 30 goals.
ARSENAL TOLD TO REPLACE JESUS
Martin Keown urged Mikel Arteta to replace Gabriel Jesus with a ‘prolific goalscorer’ after ARSENAL’s Champions League victory over Monaco, with constant reports in the media suggesting that the Brazilian is one player the club would be open to selling.
Jesus has been at Arsenal a good few seasons now and has been a player that Mikel Arteta loves to play on a regular basis, when he is fit, but this season he has fallen behind Kai Havertz in the pecking order.
There has also been alot of speculation in the media that ARSENAL will look to sign a new striker in the coming windows, meaning that Jesus may fall further down the pecking order, and as a result, the Brazilian has been tipped with a move away from the Emirates..
While Arsenal picked up their fourth Champions League win of the season, club legend Keown believes the match was further proof that his former side need to sign a ‘prolific goalscorer’.
Ex-Manchester City forward Jesus started at the Emirates but missed a couple of chances to score before being subbed off with half an hour remaining.: ‘We talk about Havertz and Jesus – they need to score more goals and be more ruthless,’ Keown told TNT Sports. ‘There is no doubt about it.
‘I think they could do with that different tool in the box, that player who can find an opportunity out of nothing.
‘Jesus has come with a lot of experience, he has bought a lot to the group, but he wants his goals on the pitch.
‘He has played his part but Arsenal need that prolific goalscorer to put these opportunities away.’
However, despite all the rumours, Arteta has hit back at reports the Gunners are planning on selling Gabriel Jesus in the January transfer window – Addressing the rumours, Arteta told reporters: “No, no sense. Like all strikers, they go on phases and moments and that gap is becoming big.
‘It’s true that obviously a lot of things has happened, injuries, absences of not playing or starting games that much. But his attitude has been really good, it always is, and we’re going to try to help him overcome the situation as soon as possible.”
