Arteta drops striker hint – Arsenal told sign 27-goal star – Gunners free to sign up £50M attacker
Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed from icfootballnews guys, including Ollie Watkins, Eddie Nketiah and a possible deal for Kingsley Coman.
Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman is still available for transfer as the German giants have recently signed Michael Olise from Crystal Palace.
There has been alot of players linked with a move to Arsenal – but now it seems that they may be able to sign one of their long-term targets, Coman – ad he is seemingly a player that Bayern are open to selling in the coming transfer window.
According to Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Coman is unsure whether he has a place at Allianz Arena and talks have been opened up with a number of Premier League clubs. Chelsea and ARSENAL have been made aware of Coman’s availability.
Arsenal are said to be showing an interest. And according to Sky Sports Germany, Bayern would be open to a loan move with an option or an obligation to buy.
And it has been claimed that Coman would be open to the idea of moving to the Premier League

A few seasons ago Coman would have been a wonderful signing for ARSENAL – but now – he would not be.
It looks like he has lost that hunger and desire that made him one of the best n the world and we would not be surprised to see him leave Bayern – but not for the Gunners – possibly for a mega money move to Saudi Arabia.
The Premier League is a place that he would probably struggle to play his best football – he is a brilliant player – but needs space to work his magic.
Add that to his injury issues – he could be a risky signing that is for sure and we are sure that Arsenal will not make a move for the player at this stage of the transfer window.
ARSENAL SENT WATKINS MESSAGE –
Former Arsenal man Emmanuel Petit has urged the club to make a move for Ollie Watkins this summer, who he believes would be the final bit of the jigsaw in a title challenge for Mikel Arteta.
After a stunning season with Sporting Lisbon – there has been alot of speculation and rumours in the media which have claimed that Victor Gyokeres is a player that ARSENAL are very much interested in signing the 43-goal star, but his high asking price is causing and issue.
Watkins scored 27 times in 53 appearances in all competitions last term, including 19 in the Premier League. This placed him joint-fourth in the Golden Boot race, which Manchester City star Erling Haaland ultimately retained with his haul of 27 goals.
And amid all the speculation and rumours – Petit has told ARSENAL to make a move for Gyokeres – Petit said, via TEAMTalk.
“Signing a striker should be Arsenal’s number one priority in the transfer window. They need someone that is good in the air and can also be physically imposing,”
“It’s good to have different options, and with Arsenal, you know how they will play on the attack, and it can be too predictable. We’ve seen them struggle to break down teams that play with a lot of men behind the ball. Arsenal need a Plan B.
“The need a striker with a presence in the penalty area, someone that can keep two defenders with him, someone that is strong physically and strong in the air because they don’t score many goals from headers. With the amount of balls they put into the box, they need to find someone to score headers. That is one part of the attack that must improve. There are a few players who tick all these boxes on the market.
“I’m a huge fan of Ollie Watkins. I love him! He’s strong physically. He has the pace to run in behind defenders. He’s able to fight with two defenders all the time and can hold up the ball. I think he would be perfect for the football that Arsenal play.
“He has the ability to play one-on-one combinations and I think he would fit like a glove into an Arsenal team and system.”
NKETIAH HINT DROPPED –
Mikel Arteta has once again dropped the biggest hint yet that Eddie Nketiah will be at Arsenal this summer – despite all the speculation and rumours that a move to Marseille is on the cards for the yong striker.
Nketiah has been a regular for Mikel Arteta over the past two seasons, but the majority of his appearances have been off the bench and he is a player that the club are open to letting go over the next few weeks.
Mikel Arteta has Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus in his attack for next season – and there is much talk that the club will seek to add another forward to the attack by the end of the transfer window.
That has led to constant speculation in the media that Marseille have made an offer to the striker to make the move to Ligue 1 this summer and recent reports on Foot Mercato is reporting that Nketiah has been sold on Marseille’s project and contract negotiations are going well between player and club.
Arsenal faced Lyon in the Emirates Cup at Emirates Stadium at the weekend and Arteta was asked about the future of Nketiah – He was quoted on the Football.London website:’ All the players that are here there’s biggest chance that they stay with us. That’s why they’re here.’

Nketiah is a very good young striker that will never be the regular starter at ARSENAL – he is just being kept around because he is a very good squad member to have in the side.
If he wants to make a big name for himself in the game he needs to leave – Marseille would be a fantastic move for the man to make – but if he stays at the Emirates – it is a decision he hopes will improve the game time that he gets.
