Mikel Arteta Opens up and Makes Statement ABout Arsenal Talks and Future

Mikel Arteta says there have not been any talks over a new deal at Arsenal, but insists he is happy at the club.

Since Mikel Arteta took the massive decision to take over at the Emirates after working under Pep Guardiola for so many years – he has turned this ARSENAL FC side into a real force.

They are one of the most attractive and entertaining sides to watch in the Premier League – they are now one of the main challengers for that title and are a side that could dominate for the next few years.

However – there has been alot of speculation in the media that Barcelona are very much interested in trying to get a deal done for the Spanish star.

Barca are on the lookout for a new manager after Xavi announced he will be leaving the club at the end of the season.

According to Relevo, Arteta is admired by the Blaugrana’s sporting director Deco and president Joan Laporta.

And the Catalan giants are said to have reached out to the Spanish tactician to test the waters about a potential move away from the Emirates in the summer.

The Gunners will be keen to end all speculation once the season is over – but despite admitting that talks have not started yet – Arteta has revealed that he is happy at the Gunners.

When asked if any negotiations had taken place, he replied: “No, nothing.

“I am really happy. I still have a year on my contract, that’s a long time in football. The players are happy, the club are happy. No issues.”

Arteta is now a world class manager that will only get better – maybe one day he will take over at Barcelona – but for now he has so many tings that he would like to achieve at ARSENAL FC – so it would be a massive shock to see him leave.

He will surely get a new deal soon.
