Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed…

Shock reports have claimed that ARSENAL are lining up a move for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, as they struggle to get the deal for Viktor Gyokeres over the line.

Arsenal are still in negotiations with Sporting CP over the potential signing of Viktor Gyokeres, despite two major agreements being in place. But doubts are beginning to creep in as fears grow the deal might not materialize.

It’s understood the Gunners are already considering a back-up plan, with options lined up in case Gyokeres slips through their fingers. Italian journalist Orazio Accomando has revealed that Arsenal could switch their attention to Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson

The news comes after Pundit Alan Shearer recently opened up and tipped Nicolas Jackson to leave CHELSEA this summer transfer window, as Enzo Maresca prefers Liam Delap and Joao Pedro as his two main attackers.

Chelsea have already bolstered their attacking options this summer with a £30 million deal to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich Town and a £60m move for Joao Pedro from Brighton last week, and there is talk that they will continue their summer of spending.

He was quoted on the Metro: ‘As soon as Pedro came in and scored the two goals and Delap’s already there, if there’s one person that’s going to be shifted out then my guess it would be Jackson.

‘It wouldn’t surprise me if they’ve already offered him to other football clubs and they’ve enquired about it.’

Jackson was decent at times for CHELSEA last season, he chipped in with a few goals, he was the man that Enzo Maresca could rely on, but that is no longer the case and the Italian boss now has a few options.

If the right offer does arrive at the club over the next few months, then yes, Jackson will leave the club as he will not want to sit on the bench every week and watch his career pass him bye.

But it would be interesting to see just where he ends up.

XAVI SIMONS CHANCE

There has been some fresh reports in the media over the past few days which have claimed that ARSENAL are back in the chase to try and sign Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig this transfer window.

Arsenal had another impressive campaign under Mikel Arteta last campaign but failed to win a trophy for the club. but they did manage to get inside those Champions League places for this upcoming season.

The transfer window has been very good for the Gunners already this summer window, and the club have improved in all areas of the pitch, but there is still alot of talk that the club will still seek to splash the cash and add a few more players to the side,

According to Bild, Simons favours a move to the Premier League and is open to the idea of making the move this summer, with a number of clubs reportedly interested

The reports also claims that he has informed them he wants to leave and moves have been made by a number of clubs in order to wrap up a deal for the talented Dutchman.

Xavi Simons is a brilliantly gifted footballer with a great track record in each of his last three seasons. He is the type of player that Blues fans would love to see arrive in the coming months, he would really add some more quality to that Arsenal midfield.

If Arsenal can beat the likes of Chelsea, Man United, and Bayern Munich to his signature, it would be a major coup. But meeting that £60 million asking price could be an issue as the Blues need to improve other areas of the pitch first.

Simons has options this summer, ARSENAL would be getting a very good player that is for sure.
