Fans told why £65 million star to cost Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta

It has been claimed that Mikel Arteta could lose his standing with the Arsenal board if Kai Havertz continues to struggle.

Havertz was one of the shock transfers of the summer after ARSENAL made the strange decision to make a move for the German after Chelsea decided that they would cash in, and he made the £65 million move across London.

Havertz really struggled to live upto the expectations on his shoulders at Stamford Bridge and failed to live upto the hype that he built up in the Bundesliga, when he was regarded as one of the best talents in the game.

But since his move to the Emirates, he has put in one or two decent performances, but unimpressed in that Gunners shirt, which has brought alot of criticism to the player and Mikel Arteta for backing his star.

Now Gabby Agbonlahor believes that Mikel Arteta’s standing with the Arsenal board could be compromised if Kai Havertz fails to impress in that Arsenal shirt He tells Football Insider:

“We could see Havertz come into the side more and more with Jesus out injured.

“They really need to play him. I’ve said that I wouldn’t play him, but that’s just my point of view.

“But when you put your neck on the line and spend so much money on a player, you have to play him.

“Otherwise the Arsenal board will decide that Arteta can’t be trusted with big money again.”

There is no doubt that Kai Havertz is a very gifted player and if the Gunners are able to get the best out of the man they will have a very special player on their hands, but it simply is not working.

They could have spent that £65 million on a player that they actually need and ARSENAL fans are just keeping their fingers crossed that he will get better.
