Mikel Arteta OFFICIALLY makes transfer admission – asked about incoming £43M signing!

Mikel Arteta is uncertain if he’ll make the Arsenal signings he wants – and when Riccardo Calafiori’s arrival will be confirmed.

As the squad jetted off to Los Angeles from Stansted, there is still alot of speculation in the media about the players that the Arsenal side will sign before the end of the transfer window at the end of August.

Mikel Arteta knows that he needs to keep on making signings to compete with Man City once again – but Arteta is uncertain if he’ll make the ARSENAL signings he wants – the Arsenal chief said: “I don’t know if anyone will join.

It’s still a lot of time in the window but that’s more of a question for (sporting director) Edu and the board. When you’re so close you want to grab it. We are very close.”

Asked if he could put a date on the Calafiori deal the Arsenal boss said: “No, unfortunately not — but we know there are certain positions we want to improve and give the squad better resources.

“We will try our best but the main thing is to focus on falling in love with the players we have and make them better.”

Asked if they need to buy new players, Arteta said: “We have to. Perfection in this league requires different standards.

“To relate that word perfection to winning the Premier League, then that’s what we have to do.

“We need to upgrade in everything we are doing. We have to improve in every area and that is what we are trying to do.”

Look, we are sure that Arteta will get the players that he wants – ARSENAL have a big budget to play with – we are just surprised that more signings have not made the move to London already – the new season starts in a few weeks.
