Alvaro Morata drops Arsenal transfer hint – Alex Lacazette will leave Arsenal and Gunners told to sign Declan Rice in Arsenal roundup…

Alvaro Morata has dropped his clearest message yet that he could join Arsenal this summer, as they seek to solve their striker issues

With reports in the media suggesting that Mikel Arteta wants to bring in a top-class striker in the summer window to bolster that front-line of his, there has been links with a move for Morata.

The Spanish star is currently at Juventus on loan from Atletico Madrid, but with the Italians not keen on keeping hold and the Spaniards reportedly ready to sell, Arsenal could find themselves making a move for the man

It is no secret that Alexandre Lacazette and Ediie Nketiah look both set to depart the club, and Arteta will need to add another forward to that front line that has played at the top level.

And IcFootballnews has learned that they will now look at a possible loan deal for the Spaniard – in order to save some funds

Arteta wants money to splash in the transfer window – but the Gunners board are tight and it is believed he will only get enough to complete two transfer deals

Now, amid the speculation, Morata has opened up and dropped the biggest hint that he could be on his way to the Emirates, Morata said: “Luckily, my wife and my sons are prepared to think about my happiness.

“The only thing they want is to see my happy. Alice [his wife] supports me in every decision I’ll make.

“I have good options and as long as I am with them, I could go everywhere, even to the moon.”

Morata is a player that has won countless trophies and scored a ton of goals, but he has never quite been able to reach that next level and become a world class striker, something that Arsenal need.

We have no idea who Arsenal will try and sign over the next window, but one thing is for sure, they need to sign a forward that has the ability to score more than 20-goals per season

And over the seasons – Morata has proven time and time again that he is not able to do that, he really struggled in the Premier League and Chelsea

Meanwhile, Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has urged the club to break the bank and bring West Ham star Declan Rice to the Emirates.

Over the past few seasons Declan Rice has become one of the best holding midfielders in world football and has constantly been the player that gets games won for West Ham

His performances for both club and country has led to alot of speculation in the media that clubs like Chelsea and Man United have been linked with a possible move for the man, even though he has a £150 million valuation put on his head

However, there has also been a number of former Gunners players and many pundits out there that believe that Arsenal should also be looking to sign a player that would significantly improve that Gunners midfield.

Speaking exclusively to SunSport via BoyleXtra, Frimpong said: “I would like to have Declan Rice.

“He’s a very good player, improved a lot and shown a lot of maturity for his age. He’s done really well for West Ham, I’m a huge fan of his.

“A midfield of him and Partey would be a very strong midfield partnership. I’d also like another left-back to compete with [Kieran] Tierney.

“I feel like we’re really struggling in that department at the moment.

“I’d also want us to sign a striker – there aren’t any that come to mind that are realistic signings at the minute, but that’s one position we really need to strengthen.”

This season Rice has been brilliant once again and quite honestly, West Ham will do very well to keep hold of the player.

The Hammers may not get £150 million for the player – but they may get closer to £70-80 million, which would be a very good amount of money to invest in the squad.

And although Arsenal will probably not make a move….THEY SHOULD!

And Finally, Alexandre Lacazette will leave Arsenal this summer – and it’s all Mikel Arteta’s fault, That’s the opinion of ex-Gunner William Gallas.

Arsenal have felt the impact of Pierre-Emericks Aubameyang’s January departure at present as the likes of Emile Smith Rowe, Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have all stepped up, but not scored the goals the club need

But it is no secret that Mikel Arteta still wants to delve into that transfer kitty at the end of the season and try to find a striker that will score on a regular basis, especially as it is expected that Lacazette will leave

Despite being a big part of the squad over the past few months, Lacazette is a player that has been unable to score the goals that the club need to get them back into the Champions League, and has been tipped to leave the club.

Now Gallas has opened up and claimed that Lacazette leaving the club will be the fault of Arteta, as he claims the French ace’s issues with the Arsenal boss will drive the striker away from The Emirates.

He said to Genting Casino: “I think he’s going to leave because of the problems he’s had with Arteta since last season.

“When Arteta became the manager, Lacazette was in good form, scoring goals, playing up front with Aubameyang on the wing.

“But slowly there started to be an issue between the manager with Lacazette not playing as many games.

“So that’s why I think he’ll want to leave the club. It can be difficult for players like Lacazette because as a big player, you always want to play in the big competitions.”

He is playing for one more big contract knowing that the Arsenal board would like him to stay, but if the club are looking to the future, adding a new forward to that front line should be the way to go guys

We believes that two new strikers is what the club need, meaning that Lacazette should be allowed to leave, they doesnt really want to be there anymore anyways

If really Arsenal are looking for a striker is not going to be Morrata he is good but Arsenal need a marks man striker not Morrata well let’s first of all qualify for champion league before knowing the type of strikers we need Arteta must focus on qualifying for champion league not striker yet because if we fail to qualify most choice striker may not agree to sign so the most important thing is to qualify first then you go for quality players and go straight to challenge for league trophy and champion league trophy Arsenal have played in the final champion league soccer before so it’s not a big deal to go for it again and win it all we need is investment and get it
