Mikel Arteta OFFICIALLY tells Arsenal fans he will spend big to sign ‘next level’ players

Mikel Arteta is prepared to spend big in the summer to take ARSENAL to the ‘next level’.

Arsenal have had a season that nobody predicted at the beginning of the campaign and have been the closest challengers to Manchester City for that Premier League title.

They have been one of the most exciting, entertaining and enjoyable teams to watch this season – and at one stage – they were closing in on that Premier League title.

However – a poor run in recent weeks has meant that Man City have once again become the Champions of England with two games to spare – ending the dreams of many Arsenal fans.

Now the focus will turn to the summer transfer window and players that Mikel Arteta can sign in order to keep on taking Arsenal to that next level – and Mikel Arteta has admitted that he is prepared to spend big in order to get the players he desires.

“To go to the next level is going to be a crucial summer for us,” he said. “That is for sure.

“First of all to make sure that we maintain everything that we have at the club right now.

“That we maintain expectations, that we maintain enthusiasm and energy that is around the place and we have a proper preparation to fulfil the objectives and the challenges that we will have next season.”

Nobody believed that ARSENAL would get Champions League football this season – never mind finish second – so it has been a decent season for the club.

But they will need to buy big players because Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and even Tottenham will all be better next season – and they will need more quality to stay ahead of those sides and keep pace with Man City
