Arteta told striker is ready for move, Arsenal close in on Spanish deal after Madrid decision, Ceballos breaks silence on future, Ozil gets ripped

Guys here is a roundup of the latest Arsenal FC news, gossip and transfer news from icfootballnews.com over the past 24 hours

Arsenal’s hopes of signing Dani Ceballos were given a boost as Zinedine Zidane put him on a list of stars who could leave Real Madrid this summer, according to reports.

After months and month and months of transfer speculation during the summer transfer window, the Gunners finally managed to finalise a try-before-they officially buy deal for the Spaniard, as Emery was desperate to add another midfielder to the side after Aaron Ramsey departed the club.

Ceballos has made 24 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal and recently forced his way back into Mikel Arteta’s plans after a slow start under the new head coach, but there is a feeling that the club have not yet decided on whether or not they will hand him a permanent move to London.

However, According to the Daily Star, the Gunners will be hopeful of securing a new deal for the man they have on loan at the Emirates until June 30 – either on loan again or on a permanent deal, especially after reports emerged which have suggested Zidane needs to cut down his current squad of 37 – including those out on loan – to fit within the 25-man quota for next season.

And it is thought Ceballos, 23, could well be one of the 12 at risk of facing the chop – as well as the likes of Luka Modric, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez.

Celtic’s French striker and Arsenal target Odsonne Edouard has been hailed as the complete package and good enough for ANY Premier League team.

Despite the fact there is no football right now because of the cornavirus outbreak, that has not stopped speculation in the media suggesting that Arsenal will look to do alot of summer business in order to get their squad right for the star of next season..

And that has led to many reports in the media which has suggested that they are interested in a £60 million move to try and acquire the services of Edouard, who is making a real name for himself over in the Scottish Leagues with some outstanding performances.

And now Rangers legend and Sky Sports pundit Kris Boyd believes that there will be alot of interest in the 22-years olds signature during the summer transfer window, as he is good enough to play for any Premier League side.

Sky Sports pundit Boyd said: “He’s the outstanding player in the league – a class apart.

“There’s talk of him going to a mid-table team in England but he should just cut them out and go straight to the top with any of the big guns.

“He’s got everything. He glides past defenders as if they are not there.

He’s got skill, although perhaps one criticism can be his finishing, he tries to place everything in the corners.

“He’s not from the same finishing school as someone like [Celtic’s Scotland forward] Leigh Griffiths but in terms of the all round package, he’s the best player in Scotland.”

**Do you have something to say about your club? Send us an article for discussion!**Graeme Souness has slammed Mesut Ozil yet again for his application during Arsenal games.

Ozil has been in the headlines for all the wrong seasons since his mega money move to the Emirates back in 2013 and there has been many in the media to criticise his level of performances, especially since he signed that massive £350,000-a-week contract just a few seasons ago.

There have been some seasons that he has shone brightly but for the most part, he has struggled to make a lasting impression on fans, and that has led to many believing that this could be his last season in London, as Mikel Artea will not take his low-level performances on a weekly basis.

And Sounes has once again come out and criticised the German, after claiming that the German would not feel that he did his best when he eventually leaves the Premier League, and Arsenal: “What about Mesut Ozil at Arsenal? Will he fulfil his potential?” Souness asked Jamie Redknapp as quoted by the Daily Star

“There are players like Jamie [Redknapp] who suffered a knee injury so may not fulfil their potential, but for someone like Ozil, do you think in three or four years’ time he’ll look back on his career and say ‘I did everything to give myself the best chance of being successful?’

“The way I see him, we should not even be having a conversation about him.

“He’s so talented, and we should be talking about him as one of the greatest players to come to the Premier League, but I don’t think I’m alone in feeling there’s so much more from him.

“I think he’ll look back and think he could’ve done more – I know Ozil is a No 10, but when he loses the ball, there’s a general disinterest to do the hard yards.

“He’s not alone in that, and maybe he’s given carte blanche to be like that but if you’re out there and you give the ball away yourself, the first reaction has to be to sprint back, get goal-side and be part of the team that wins the ball back.”

Dani ceballos has opened up about his future, as reports suggest that Arsenal are keen to tie him down to a permanent deal.

Ceballos has made 24 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal and recently forced his way back into Mikel Arteta’s plans after a slow start under the new head coach, but there is a feeling that the club have not yet decided on whether or not they will hand him a permanent move to London.

However, the Gunners will be hopeful of securing a new deal for the man they have on loan at the Emirates until June 30 – either on loan again or on a permanent deal, especially after reports emerged which have suggested Zidane needs to cut down his current squad of 37 – including those out on loan – to fit within the 25-man quota for next season.

Now, amid all the transfer speculation surrounding his future, Ceballos has opened up and admitted that he is unsure about his future: ‘I finish my contract on June 30. I would have to play for Arsenal, I don’t know how [it would work],’ Ceballos said in an interview with El Chiringuito. ‘The relationship of the future would be irresponsible for me to speak about.

‘The most important thing will be to be important for my new team. ‘I came to Arsenal to be important and in less than a month it has disappeared [because of coronavirus]. ‘I knew about Valencia’s interest in having my services. There was also talk of Sevilla and Betis,’ added the midfielder

‘When they connect you with these teams it is for a reason. I am very Betis and it would be difficult for me to play for Sevilla. I would only play for Betis. It is my team and the one that gave me the opportunity to be a footballer. I did not get to speak with Lopetegui to sign for Sevilla.’

The Spaniard has been decent during his brief spell at the Emirates, so the Gunners would surely be fools to not take up the option and keep him in the Premier League for a a good few seasons right?
